I need some help with some Ideas...

I need some help. A friend and I are writing some scripts that one day hopefully could be turned into an anime movie series / manga like thing or something else completely. In any case, I need some suggestions for Character names.

The main characters names have already been picked, but I need some more for other characters, Yes last names needed if possible. Please dont give weird names, I am extremely serious, and I will have stuff translated to be sure.

Anyway, I'd like to stick to an asian theme, Mainly Japan, but anything else is welcome. (Preferrably less known names, dont want to copy from existing characters.)

If you haven't already tried this;
For all of the redshirts, grab your local phone book, and start flipping.
Swap the last names around, and it works wonders. You get actual names that you would have never thought of.

However since your looking for names of Asian ethnicity, it might take some browsing... So you can also try

Obviously I lack the means to validate the accuracy of the two links I provided... but perhaps some ideas?

As Xeno said, just start shuffling first and last names around. Or use a distinguishing feature of your character and translate it into japanese.

as for having it made into an anime/manga....good luck. my understanding of the industry is that if your aren't living/working in Japan and don't have connections, you haven't got a prayer. That said, there are other ways of getting you material out there. If you can find an artists, webcomics are one of the most popular. Either way you go though, it is a tough road.

Thanks guys, but, I do know of a few places for the anime/manga side of things. the anime is only an idea at the moment, might look into 3d animation, kinda like final fantasy: spirits within. sounds dumb, but with todays tech, it might look hell betta than a lot of other options or whatever. suffice to say, its only in planning at the moment.
