Puzzled over planets

I have read several threads where people have said that the planets were a bad addition to the game.
What are the pro's and con's of planets and why do people not like the planet additions?

they are good in a sense that they bring some difference to the game but they are also bad because of all the drama they cause.

I think yes.

People needed a new way to invest their naq and planets have brough back some of the old tactics which used to play a role in the game.

The main reason I think people dont like planets is because they can more or less always be stolen and there isnt much you can do about that unless you spend shed loads of naq on a defence (but theres still a chance it can be massed down lol) So it would be a waste of naq to build a defence or upgrade it.

To those in a pretty powerful allaince or have powerful Co's I would say its well worth it, as you dont always have to worry about it being stolen (unless its a UP planet) to over come this you could always join CoP or EPAc that makes most people think twice. They give nice little bonuses to your stats which is always good and can usually help if you get a good planet that is lol


Overall I personally think they are a nice little addition it didnt harm anyone when they was introduced so something thats new and doesnt effect people in a bad way is always good right?

Well apart from afew of the newcomers who are coming through and wanting planets of there own but cant find them or cant steal them but again I guess planets should be someting for the bigger/stronger players much like ascension, we wouldnt want aload of noobs at LG now would we
