However, this is Forum's game, and i wont do that without him asking.
i wonder how the boot would feel it is on my foot. im sure i kick harder.

Not actually, tbh... such action by him and his contact (althoe just(?)) would most likely be illegal itself... I would venture to guess that there are other "obstacles" preventing this than mere benevolance...
Or maybe I`m just a vindicating SOB
Another matter is how wise would it be to bring this game in to much a lime light of layers... After all ppl are profiting from a certain brand... Best not talk of courts and damages unless Forum is confident of his water tight legal position heh...

next time you sign up for internet, read the contract.... this sort of thing is expressly forbidden. removing his internet is well within the rights of bigpond.
as for court, i seriously doubt it

It`s one thing to hold him accountable for the breach of his contract and another entirely to "pull strings" to prevent him getting accesing to the net ever again (somewhere else than with bigpond). Atleast thats how its done at our place

why would i need to pull strings? Forum keeps logs of everything around here. Breach of Contract is easy...
As for never accessing net again, there are lists of these sorts of things... im fairly sure of that.
Anyway, i have no need to do it... i just need him to fully understand what i can do on a simple email. Im fairly sure that 95% or more people around here would have just sent the email. I see things differently. the is no advantage to sending the email. Nothing comes from except petty revenge. in which case, id be as bad as he is/was.
However, I am nearing the end of my patience on this matter. 1 more irratation from my "Friend" will be the end of this whole problem.

Yes there are black lists that ISPs will consult & yes ISP managers can place ppl on these lists with ease.
Anyways Forum wouldn't goto the police. All you need is a lawyer to write a letter to the ISP detailing the actions taken and the ISP will monitor that account very closely. As soon as he does anything dodgy they will contact him and most likely depending what he did either tell him to stop or face disconnection or just disconnect him without giving any chances

If you dont like what I post, then tough. Either dont read it or dont bother replying to it.

U'd be surprised.
And also, what if this guy was more stealthy, he could have sold Bryan's account for real $$, therefore committing fraud, this is not just a simple game account plus he had access maybe to other sites he was using like internet banking etc.
As far as I know ISP's only need the logs and the IP in those logs and what was done, basically a summary from Forum.
It should be reported imo, even if its just the email with the logs and Forums summary of what happened.

So you are going to take responsibility for the next account he cracks and next time maybe the admin of the game wont restore it? Years of work gone cos of this noob.bryan wrote:why would i need to pull strings? Forum keeps logs of everything around here. Breach of Contract is easy...
