Attack stuff (aka WTH??)

Ok, I may not have understood a thing or two in the recent updates, so if it has been explained elsewhere in a post so complicated I didn't bother reading it entirely, please say it's normal.

I'm being regurlarly attacked by the same guy (guess he hates me), ranked around 30 ranks below me. In the logs, last attack he did 17 millions damage with only 13 linked planets and 13 macro quantum badass whatever ships.
I may suck in math, but my calculations tells me it shouldn't do as much.
When I spy on him, his attack power is at about 6 millions (same number of planets and weapons)
Did I miss something about attacking up the ranks boosts by 300% your stats???

-Edit: I just looked at the new logs and it tells me he was able to spend 300% of the normal time to raidblablablabla...
If it is really a 300% boost, how the hell can defense be useful at all???????????????

-Edit,2 - It would seem the personnal physical stats of your ascended self (in addition to the realm upgrades) boost your realm military? I don't remember reading any of that.

-Edit,3 - the Edit,2 seems to be in the wrong, while Edit,1 seems good.

Well i wouldnt know anything about that.... ... Could be that Tolah get lvl 15 physical attack straight off, and that boosts their attack in battle.

just once ya get it someone beats you, so no point in it

What have you guys been doing with your attack turns?
Since no one tells me it's normal, I would be as bold as to say it's a bug.
So if a vagrant mod was kind enough to move this...

Yes there is a fix that is coming to correct the level adjustment now. The same thing happened to me. I had (at the time) the number one offense in the game and my defense was higher than my offense. Then all of a sudden, I get attacked by someone who does 17 million damage to me. I write Forum and found out that the lower levels get a 250% bonus for attacking up and the higher levels take an 80% reduction when they attack down. It's ridiculous and he is fixing it. Thank goodness! Otherwise, it is time to tank offense and just go for the high defense and be low in rank. With the 250% boost in your attack score for attacking up, you will be unstoppable and no one can hurt you with your defense because they will be at 20% of their attack score against your total defense.

I can't figure this part out. I got attacked by this guy, he had 1 super planet and 1 weapon. He beat my defense of 5 normal planets, 2 top weapons and 3 second level weapons. He had no command star. I have the indu bonus defense. He was ranked above me. I got completely trashed. It doesn't add up.

heh sleipner might want to remove full details of your defensive stats lol
