Income per turn question

I am having trouble in working this out. Could someone please help me.
As I understand it, the income per turn is calculated as follows:

((((Untrained units x 40) + commander contribution ) – Officer contribution ) – Alert Level)

Is this right?
If so, My officers are getting seriously short changed.

Alert level goes first. So setting your alert level also impacts your officers.

If it moves, kill it. If it doesn't move, kick it until it does move, and then kill it.

So it's like this?

((((Untrained units x 40) - Alert Level) + commander contribution ) – Officer contribution )

No, its like this.
Your income:
(((Untrained*40)+commander)*(1-alert%))*(1-officer%)

Officer contribution:
((((Untrained*40)+commander)*(1-alert%))*(officer%))/#ofOfficers

Thank you for your assistance. Could you also tell me how to calculate my attack power?

No, I don't know the exact numbers, and they differ per race.

Hey. Thats a good idea! I meant that I would like to know who it is calculated so I can optimise my units v weapons.

Sleipnir : Thanks for the assistance, but It still doesn't seem to work out. What are the % 's for Alert Level? I think High is 50%. Anywho. Thanks

Don't know the answer to the second question, but it took me for ever to find the answer in this post about how much naq per turn you get. Is there any way to add that question to the FAQ sticky up at the top of this section? I guess most newbies straight off the bus don't really care EXACTLY how much each untrained unit is worth, but as we progress as players it becomes important.
Thanks,
