planets and ascending

When you ascend do you loose your planets, if so are there any ways about getting them after you ascend, like giving them to another person.

A kind of related question, but does your ascended income bonus apply to planets i.e, does the bonus take into account income planets you have (and indeed, income from your CO too), or does the bonus only apply to your own income (miners + lifers)?

for example;

per turn you make 100 mill from lifers/miners, 30 mill from an income planet, and 70 mill from your CO. The total per turn you make is 200 mill.

Would your bonus per turn be 10 mill (5% of 200 mill, i.e you miners/lifer + CO + income planet) or 5 mill (5% of your lifers/miners only)?

Would be 5mil, the same way bank size is calculated. Only your self-produced income counts.

the bonuses affect only your income from miner(lifers) and uu. planet income and CO income are just added onto your income, you dont get any bonuses applied to them
