Why not get rid of miners and just have lifers?

because people actually use ppt's and they like to be able to train extra miners without loosing all their uu's permanently...

i say remove the 10% become lifers and remove miners completley and make lifers the super version makes it both more simple and useful at the same time.

or on the other hand introduce both miners 80 naq per turn and lifer 100naq per turn or something like that ... just means more naq more quickly is all seeing as some are complaining about their untrain - retrain habbit with PPT's although i personally like option 1.

also while having this option being shown and peoples problems with the eventual total army being lifers maybe make say a 2 lifer count as 1 unit in the total army size so when you reach 50mil lifers it only counts for 25mil in the total which would give bigger players more room to grow and also give people more incentive to train them to lifers or something along those lines.(lifers are underground so technically since creating more room, wouldnt create so much of a burden on the general population as all the attack/defence/untrained/covert and so on would being all on the surface together where space is limited)

Lifers should be like untrained mercs and not count toward army size as they can not and will not ever pick up a weapon and fight.

but untrained mercs do NOTHING miners still do ALOT so maybe make the ratio less rather than nothing like i said maybe 2 lifer = 1 unit count or higher ratios if wanted.

why not let the market do the trade

11000 UU for 11000 Lifer, this way it cost you one MT each time.

actually you can'T trade uu for lifer since they both are 'the same ressource'

lets all get off the topic of lifers only plz, ty. miners are a good way to keep UU safe wen attaking and from rading. there not getting rid of miners. lets get back to the topic at hand, some way to choose whether u want lifers or miners. not the banishment of one of them.

How about you sell the UU on the black market for about 600M/k, and buy lifers from the marketplace at approx. 333M/k? I'd say that beats training them one for one. Of course, you're restricted to your 3MT's a week, but that means you'll have to do some planning ahead.

Miners are needed in the game. They are unraidable and can be untrained... therefore a great place to hide troops from being raided.

A lifer upgrade to the miner would be a great resolution to this issue. I like the idea of removing the 10% of miners converting into lifers. Therefore you control the exact number of units dedicated to this and how many you want to keep as miners. Lifers should not be untrainable. I frequently take my cov/anti-cov troops and make them miners while I'm on PPT too boost my naq production.

15k naq/unit seems like a reasonable price to pay to convert your miners into lifers, since that's approximately what it cost to do it... unless you want to spend the time doing it one at a time.

I agree with DarkSchneider on this one get rid of the 1 in every ten miners becomes a lifer and just have it an upgrade option in the training section with miners the equivalent of a normal soldier. As a super soldier has twice the strength of a normal soldier then a lifer should have double the income ratio as a miner.
