Later his wife told the world it killed him.
His entire being changed. He went from being a "happy go lucky" type of person to being moody. He went from being kind to being abusive. He had never touched his wife until after the gig. He beat her so badly one night he put her in the hospital.
It was a bout 1 yr and 3 months later he was dead. Listed as natural causes. They could never pin down what killed him exactly.
I do think age plays a definite role in this discusion as I could go to a party on fri night and leave sun night when I was a teenager. Now missing a nights sleep takes me days to recover from.
(What I am young and don't really care about what's wrong with my body in 10 years time thats 10 years from now) lol

And even if you use tablets...the only one who can keep you awake for 7 days would be the one tested now in the military...but I doubt it...
Sorry to say but I am 99,999% certain that is imposible...even so this should be in this and that
The current world record for the longest period without sleep is 11 days, set by Randy Gardner in 1965. Four days into the research, he began hallucinating. This was followed by a delusion where he thought he was a famous footballer. Surprisingly, Randy was actually functioning quite well at the end of his research and he could still beat the scientist at pinball.

between 3 - 5 days of no sleep incurs hallucinations - it is also at this point that there is a risk of brain damage and/or insanity.
People may believe that they are awake for days on end - but the reality is that even though they may think they are aware of things around them, they dip in and out of brain wave sleep, sometimes for as little as periods of 10 - 15 seconds many, many times during the day, without even realising it.
