Pfft, never had a single drink the entire time!

There were many many comments said last night in that room, but we were sworn that none of them bet ever uttered or remembered again. That aside, it'll be good dreams for Balor tonight ;)

Oh and Jar Jar takes the cake for making Laser's all the more fun :P

Balor couldn't drink because Squishie said he couldn't LOL. And I will confirm that I didn't see Balor drink :P

Alright, now that i'm Sober once more and actually had sleep for the first time in two days, i can make a quick post before duty at Uni calls.

I'd like to deeply thank every last person who turned up for making the day(s) an awesome and memorable experience. A extra special nod goes to Robe for bringing this concept up and to Jess for spending all her time and effort organising and directing the Melbourne event.

The Basic Rundown from Balor's PoV:

Meet at a certain point at the Crown Galatic Circus at 2PM.

3 games of Lasers with a few delays and gaps between them. Two words, 'Jar Jar'. Someone else can explain it as well as the person serving us :wink:

Getting 2 Bowling lanes in Which the term 'doing a Balor' came up. I do not wish to explain what that is :oops:

Going to the Hotel Lobby to mark as a meeting back up point.

Heading off on our Seperate ways for dinner. Not making it into half a dozen restraunts and giving up on cultured life, headed down into the food court.

Going back to the lobby and crashing Deity's and Robe's awesome room.

Watching Cartoons about someone's 'Carbon rod' while waiting for everyone to turn up. Also trying to check our accounts using the Hotel internet while planning and scheming.

Heading out to the "Retro" Club and getting in 10:30-11PMish.

Clubbing until you dropped and went home.

5AM club closed and those left (Diety/me/Jess/Whitey) went back to the hotel room singing Beatles songs all along the way in the middle of the city.

The four of us sneaking past Robe and into Deity's bed, watched Casino Royal and said and did many things in that bed that shall not ever be mentioned. Man he was sexy in a kilt though :D

Heading back out in the morning without sleep to pick up Sov and Mango from another Hotel and bringing them back for breakfast before they headed out to explore the city.

Finding some couches in front of a shop to collapse on in the morning. At this stage we hadn't showered, had the smell of alcohol, huge rings around our eyes, hair a mess and were all out of it. Whitey just had to put down his hat with something in it to complete the picture of us as bums.

Went off to a Cafe for Cake and (non alcoholic) drinks by the Yarra. Sun was up and we were falling asleep.

Finally getting up and looking for a new Hotel for Deity who canceled his flight back that day so he could stay longer and so got another flight for the next day.

Bumming around until 5PMish on the Sunday when me and Whitey headed home on the train.

Having a shower, getting on msn/irc, starting a conversation with a dozen people about what happened and then falling asleep on my laptop before i could answer them. Woke up many hours later with pages of convo in each tab wondering where i was. My webcam was on so i hope to god no one was watching :S

Waking up in my own single bed this morning, looking left and right and seeing no Andy, Steve or Jess. I was :(

That basically wraps up my take on the Convention. It was an Awesome event and again many thanks to those who turned up and even more to those who organised it.

P.S No pics yet as we're figuring out which people give their permissions to post pics and getting them through Quality Control. We aussie's party hard and there is just too much incriminating pictures and vids.

P.P.S Deity is my new Hero and i want to have his man babies.

P.P.P.S Xaos speaks the truth supersquish, i was the Soberist and most responcible person at the event :-)

I can confirm that Balor got drunk! The explosives guy held me up again at the airport then asked how a bum like me got the money for a plane ticket! Jar Jar was the highlight of the whole thing, he is my hero

And squshie, Balor was off his face. However, I forced him to drink :D. I take full responsibility. And in his own words, from different times throughout the night....

(starting around 12:30, when he'd had a few drinks at my request)
"Why would I quit drinking?"

"Let's get another round Whitey!"

"My shout!"

(Now you see him gradually sobering up...)
"I'm never drinking again"

"I'm never drinking heavily again"

"I don't think I'm going to be drinking any time soon"

(This is just before he gets on the train)

the next one ( after the brizzy one) should be in mildura ( in vic ).. get a houseboat and cruse down the murray river

pros:
    *free accommodation
    *air conditioning
    *go for a swim ( only if ur not drunk)
    *fishing ( LoL)
    *get to see the great outdoors
    *can get off the houseboat and go camping
    *talk around the fire till ungodly hours
    *can sun bake on the houseboat :D

cons:
    *havening to hire a houseboat
    *getting here ( 4 hours from adelade, 7 hours from Melbourne and about 12 hours from Sydney ( all times are approx by car)
    *and then their are the flys... but thats only if u go outside :D



maybe should do this next year..

Doing a Balor is when you get gutter ball after gutter ball. Ive never seen someone work the gutters like this guy. lol

Also, when drinking with guy never leave your drink unattended because he will drink it for you. Just ask Whitey.

Well... i just got home... Haven't actually slept all weekend yet, (besides the 15minutes I got during Casino Royale on Deity's bed).

Firstly, thanks to all who had the balls to turn up, specially the interstate travelers who went out of their way to meet strangers from the internet.

Secondly, that was the BEST weekend I've probably ever had.

Thirdly, to all of you who missed it... man, did you miss out big time.


I have a heap of pictures that I will be going through and I will then post ones that dont seem too incriminating (only with the express permissions of the persons partaking in said photographs).

Laser Wars..... Myself, Amon, DarkDayz and Thors Hammer started an "alliance" lol, classic. We kicked some serious backsides (Jar Jar for the LOSE!).

Bowling: Sovetski may be the leader of taw's biggest and baddest alliance, but he can't bowl to save himself... we have photographic evidence also. Not to mention the fact he walked away with the "SGWs Bowling Noob Wooden Spoon".

Dinner: When all else fails... get room service. ;)

The nightclub: Never ask Nuto for directions. This will ultimately end in disaster and much back-tracking. Thumbs up for Thors Might (Daniel), Darkdayz, Kal Thor (Bradley), Whitey (Andy), Balor (Stephen) and The Deity (Steve) for being the last ones standing. Technically. I was the last one standing, as Steve left to head back to Brissy, I was still in the city. Oh yeah. 58 hours without sleep!!!


Class acts:
-The Deity for showing up in a suit. Pure class.
-Robe for being brave enough to join us all. You're awesome Sue.
-Bradley (Kal Thor) for pretending to be a casual newspaper reader while the crowd gathered at the meeting place. I walked past him several times.
-Jar Jar (AKA random kid who took Laser Wars faaaaar too seriously, which we nicknamed ...nevermind...lol)
-Robe on the dance floor. She certainly shook it like a Polaroid picture.
-Deity, Whitey, Balor and myself for staying at the club til they turned off the lights, and then deciding that the night was still young...(5am)

Winners of the night:
Amon - Overall best Laser Wars.
Lord Mango - Overall best Bowler.

Losers of the night:
DarkDayz - Overall WORST Laser Wars player...we still love you though.
Sovetski - Overall WORST Bowler... ever... no really... :p
