I don't think selling off capacity is all that important, in fact I'd say that is a waste and nothing. Once you waste away the weapons (or fleets as per the post above) there is nothing saying you should need to repair them.
If you have the capacity and want to sell it off, then maybe you'll think to the furture when updates come in, and see where you will benefit in the long run.
And who knows... Maybe one day that capacity you have may come in useful...

its a good idea and i aggree, there should be a way to remove your own defences from ur planet but i dont think u should get anything back - on the contrary - you should have to pay a small fee for it.
think of it as an AA battery. to destroy it, you need to hire a buldozer and driver and that costs money.
1 or 10mill/def site would be reasonable

I had the capacity before the update.

Nope i disagree, if you can just buy and sell everything willynilly then theres no element of thought involved now you have to consider if you really want the planet or not as you could waste alot of money letting it go. Also the MS idea as nice as it would be would make the game too easy also at the moment all your MS hangers and capacitys and weapons are unsellable as such you know not to make your MS too big when waiting to ascend, if this feature was taken out you could use your planets or MSs as a big bank and just save your naq in defences and weapons. So i say keep it how it is and think more before you act.
