Everyone is in shock, especially those of us who are diverting a tremendous amount of resources to this super weapon. Now, I do not know why it is of particular importance to anyone what happens with the super weapon so long as they don't get hit by it. It was (and still is) stunting the growth of the two biggest players in the game. Yes we are hitting our own alliance with the weapon because that way we know where it is and where it is going at all times. Were they benefitting from it? I suppose so. But I told Forum this a week before the updates hit the regular ascended server. First it was going to be a ping-pong match between me and Sinister, just selling the weapon back and forth. Then he nixxed that and said that, if you bought the weapon, you would have to use it, you couldn't just auction it off again. So then I pointed out that, if I used it on my own alliance members, I could ensure that they would get a healthy sum of DMU for their troubles. Remember, this is a week BEFORE the updates were brought to ascension. I told him that this is what was going to happen and if he was OK with that. He said, that's great. I even pointed out to him that it was a way, albeit an inelegant way, to transfer resources from one account to another and he did not have a problem with that. Now, a month later, all of a sudden, it comes as a surprise to him that that is exactly what is happening with the weapon.
Frankly, I don't see a problem with it. I don't want to get hit by the weapon. The damage it will do to me is 10 times greater than what it would do to just about anyone else on the server (which is one of the problems I have with the super weapon). I am willing to part with a great deal of my resources to ensure that I NEVER get hit with the weapon. In order to do this, I have to hit people whom I trust will put the weapon up for auction after they get hit rather than using against me or someone else. For this "service" they receive a rather nice payday (and now, so will all of you). And wonder of wonders, you will also know the exact time that the DMU will be received by your accounts by watching the auction timer.
I hope this puts an end to the **Filtered** about the superweapon. Believe me, I can do more damage to most of your accounts than that superweapon ever could whereas the converse is not true. Forum put a broken item into the game; I am making sure that it doesn't get used until he has the good sense to remove the weapon period.
