Ascension Preparation

I'm a noob, this is my first post!

Closing in on first ascension.

Is there any advice from you seasoned pro's on the best preparation for the big event?

I was looking at moving all my spies into miners to save as much naq as I could, then pass over naq and as many UU as I can to a friend, then ascend, and get it all back.

Are there any better methods?

first check know much you will have to pay for ascend (uu,trained units,naq),then send all your UU,naq,turns which you don't need for ascend to your friend..
if you want to get more ascended points (you need to convert them on ascended server into LF) you should leave your defense,but if you have small army and you didn't gather any naq then don't do this...

Thanks for the info. I've an idea of the costs of ascension from the calculator I found a link to on the forums.

I'd forgotten about sending AT as well.
