Stop replying to someone by quoting their entire post, immediately after them! Few things on forums drive me more insane than reading someone's post, and reading the whole damn thing again quoted immediately below!!!

i could sometimes do so, but others i don't know if i'll be the first to reply or not, since it's an "active topic" what i may be trying to say to one person, could be intercepted and misread by someone else who "stole" my spot in the thread since i was writing my reply slowly and carefully, instead of quickly, illegibly, and spammily.

On the subject... I agree. Unless the topic is short and concise (I.e. a two paragrapher made by someone dedicated to sticking to subject), quotes should be broken up. Though this clutters up your post, it does allow you to address specific things, and allows to reader greater insight into what you are speaking about.

It's a general lack of grasp on the English language as a whole from those who do that. It's laziness and ignorance, and instills the general impression that the person hasn't even bothered to read your post in the first place.
