IMPORTANT WRITING ON WORLD ISSUES

Right o, now that I have your attention with that insane title:

The war in iraq is not a jsut war. This should not be edited because it is true. It should not be put in the spam forum either b/c it isnt spam, it is a topic that involves many players in SGW. Spam is jsut random stuff. IMPORTANT FOR MOD/ADMIN/WHOEVER: READ THIS THROUGH BEFORE YOU DELETE IT OR EDIT IT, OR MOVE IT. PLEASE, JUST READ IT FIRST. IF YOU WANT TO DELETE IT BECASUE OF THE CONTENT OR BECASUE ITS TOO LONG THEN FINE, DO IT. BUT PLEASE, SOMEONE READ IT FIRST.

Now, the war doesnt meet the guidelines for a just war. Doesn't that mean that the united states will face war crimes if they withdraw? Anyone feel like calling them freedom fries insteado french fries now, because the french wouldnt join the war? I dont. the french had the right idea.

Im writing a book on polotics and this is the first few pages of what I already have. its basically a rant about the world and I doubt it will ever be published, except as an internet opinion piece. Go ahead and disagree, I dont care and I dont want to hear about it. This is only my opinion, you dont have to agree with it.'

What is humanity? One could say it is us. It could be ourselves. Our communities, our civilizations, our history, our triumphs and losses, our happiness and sadness. But these are all relatively wrong answers. Humanity is, always has been, and always will be the worst poison. A poison to us as humans, part of humanity. But most of all, a poison to the earth. The earth is our home. Our only home. Currently, the world is being destroyed by us, and we don’t seem to notice. Humans ignore it; pretend that global warming doesn’t exist, and bury themselves in the lies of politics. Pretend that world hunger and poverty are problems beyond our reach. That we can’t make a difference. I clearly am not satisfied by the attitude of the public. What is the public? Us. We are the mass of people who are currently poisoning the globe, each other, and ourselves. My goal is to end this anomaly of humanity, to destroy the world which we have created and become accustomed to. The world is changing, faster than ever. And we are changing it.
The political problems of the world interest me. They shouldn’t interest anyone because all they do is blind the public of the problems which they are creating.
Major contributors to global warming, a growing problem which they are helping to conceal, are north americans. I once heard from a substitute teacher of mine that with one day’s military budget from the United States, we could feed the world for a year. Now, if they would just take that one day’s budget and donate it towards feeding the world, we could end world hunger. Just like that. But then they would say, “We can’t just cut out over 1 billion dollars of our military budget!” Yes I’m sure you can’t, that would be just too generous. The amount you would notice would be insignificant, a dollar or two extra on your taxes.
This brings me to the next part of the anomaly. Finding a politician who can profess common sense and good will top the public, rather than robotic politicians bent on making their country the best. Didn’t Adolph Hitler have the same idea? Make Germany a world power. What happens when you apply the ideas of one man to the rest of the country? Isn’t that just what Adolph Hitler did? By applying his idea of fascism and anti-Semitism to those who didn’t know better than to follow, Hitler became a superpower, another anomaly of human nature, a self made terror such as what I see coming for the United States.
This brings me to the first part of my global assessment for a new world. All we need is some sort of a politician who can profess the common sense of solving the worlds problems rather than building defense against problems which are of concern, but aren’t huge in the big scale. It is said that the United States has enough warheads to destroy the world more than a few times. Does anyone see a problem with that? Millions if not billions spent on bombs could solve world hunger for good if put to work in the right places. So what is needed is a politician who stands for the values of REAL human interest. Military advertisements speak of honor and duty. Don’t we have a duty as humans to our brothers across the world? Are we not the same species, trying to achieve the same goals? What the world needs is a politician who does not speak for a political group; someone who does not speak for groups or nations. Someone who does not speak for other people, who encourages people to come up with smart and ethical solutions to the world’s problems, things that every person is capable of. One person can change the face of the earth. Think you can’t make a difference? I’m going to temporarily take up the role of the unknown politician of good will and tell you the truth. You can make a difference. Feel any different? Of course you don’t. Words don’t mean much. And that’s why politicians aren’t the most effective way of changing world order.
This brings me to the second part of this book (which I hope causes great distress to those trying to conceal the world’s problems, and hopefully will teach you a better way to live). The world needs someone to rise up and oppose the government in a non violent way. Someone who will fight for what they believe in without fighting. Someone who our politician of good will completely agree with and create an alliance. A new political movement can be created with the help of everyone. Of course, you can’t change anything without politics. Currently the governments are winning the war on the public. The war on humanity. A powerful alliance of politics and the public ideals can do what nobody has done before and not challenge the government directly, but change it into a new, better version. A new version of the government which will work towards improving other countries rather than trying to take control.

The problem with governments is that they give the public no control over their actions. Sure, you vote to choose who leads the country, but who can be sure that you’re even choosing that? Did you count the ballots? If you did, did you count them from every area? But of course, we have a democratic government system, which is best for the people. Did you choose whether the country went to war in Iraq? How about Canadians such as me, did we choose to begin a war in Afghanistan? They never found bin laden did they? But Saddam Hueissein was a good distraction wasn’t he? They won the war on terror. But terror is a relative concept. They never found their original target, but they did eliminate someone who wasn’t their target. Sounds like victory! But it wasn’t. Have troops evacuated the country yet? If you could choose, would the military be out of Iraq? And even if you voted on it, how could you know if the vote was done by the public, or by the government, choosing the ideas for the public to think. I smell humanity. Why are troops in Iraq in the first place? It’s not where the war started. Are they trying to “liberate” the country? I guess it wasn’t American enough. Ever notice how in movies they show how many Americans died and talk of honor? Let me use the movie black hawk down as an example. I feel for the families who lost their brothers, fathers and sons in that battle. But they talk of their sacrifice. That’s right, their sacrifice. If any of you have ever watched “black hawk down” you’ll know that far less than 100 American soldiers died. Approximately 3000 Somalians died in that battle. How many of those three grand do you think were innocent people? You can’t fire at unarmed civilians! But as stated in the movie, “rules and all that **Filtered** just goes right out the window”. The soldiers fighting in Iraq are mostly not peacekeepers. They are soldiers, armed with real weapons. Men and women trained to fight for their country on another country’s soil.
This brings me to yet another point; the military. One of the most powerful assets of the government is the military. If the country falls into a black hole of chaos, the military will be the first asset thought about by many of the world’s leaders. I am not American. I am Canadian. And even here in Canada you can feel the impact that the military has on the world. I heard the United States spent $581 billion on their military one year. That’s about 581 times more than what Canada spent that year. Strange though, the United States has only about 10 times our population, but they spent 581 times more on their military. Of course, we don’t think highly of our military. Our helicopters need 24 hours of service for 1 hour of flight. Our subs leak. But Canada is not a major warhorse. When people think of Canada, they think of peace. When people think of the US, they think of nukes. There are only three nuclear powers in the world. Our politician friend will have to change the minds of the people. To change the way the people think. If every country agreed to make their military roughly half the size, then every country would have a stronger economy. There will be less poverty, less hunger, and more prosperity. Though the number of jobs will decrease, other job opportunities will open up to support the extra population who are not in the armed forces. With a decreased military and new way of thinking, the world would be a better place.

~Our subs may sink and our planes don’t fly, but never think that our hope will die. We don’t need strength and we don’t need might, ‘cus since we’re good we needn’t fight. But if we’re good, then who is bad? Is it Chile? Is it Chad? It’s not a country we should fear, but a human mindset, and (surprise!) it’s near…

This brings me to me next part of the shakedown. Global Warming. Did you know that if you type global warming in a word processing file, a correction line appears beneath the words? Anyways, I recently saw Al Gore’s movie (of his presentation) called “an inconvenient truth”. This movie moved me, and I don’t get moved easily by movies. The point of this movie is that, basically, unless we change our way of life we will be the cause of the apocalypse, and it isn’t far away. We need to think about the long term effects of what we are doing. Every piece of plastic we throw away, every time we start our vehicles, every time we turn on a light, we are advancing towards our own destruction. Think of it this way – the world has cancer and instead of helping it heal we are slowly inserting poisonous needles into the cancer patient. Funny how when we put things in a different context people seem to understand it better. Would you poke a cancer patient with needles filled with poison? Of course not. But you are, whether you want to or not. It’s not really your choice. Everyone wants success, and that’s what this is really about. To be successful you need to drive a car. You need to have a house with which to consume resources and electricity. Of course to survive you need food, and what food doesn’t come packaged in plastics? Carcinogens of the planet. So, how can we fix that? This is where our environmentally friendly successful persons in high places come in. Of course, you don’t get to be successful by being environmentally friendly; you get there by being a good businessman. So we need a good businessman who can change the way the world thinks about packaging once he has a say in the way things. What are the chances of this happening? There will be many skeptics to this out there in the real world of hate and distrust, misconception and lies. I admit the chances of this happening are fairly small, unless you do your part and help to encourage it. If the public wants environmentally friendly environments, the successful companies in the world will see that as an opportunity to get their product ahead. After all, what manufacturer wouldn’t want to sell something the public knows it wants? I can see it now. The idea catches on and soon all the major companies are selling products packaged in environmentally friendly materials.
Then next part of the global warming solution involves vehicles. Electric cars are the chemotherapy for the ozone’s cancer. This part has already been started but just hasn’t caught on. How many hybrid and electric vehicles do you see on the roads? They don’t lack in power, a common rumor about electric cars that has pretty much made the electric car extinct. And even if they did, what rush is the world in that they need to travel so fast? Ever notice he happiest people take their time? Another way you could help is with this problem is by riding public transit until the idea catches on. A few spokespersons for the environmentally friendly cars would help, but we may not be that lucky. Shouldn’t there be laws against promoting vehicles that damage the environment? Vehicles that target the ozone and fire away. Why does everyone need cars anyways? People take cars everywhere which, to me, doesn’t seem practical. Trips to other cities and towns could easily be reduced without damaging your schedule.
Why does everyone need a car? Teenagers dream about getting a vehicle for freedom. Isn’t that what we’re fighting for in Afghanistan and Iraq? But they don’t all dream of cars. They dream of peace, which we are currently not causing. Anyways, that’s beyond the point. In fact, this paragraph is beyond the point I just made since the purpose is to move on to the next point of global warming. Too many people. Streets are getting crowded, I can feel the change even here in Canada with one tenth the population of the US and an even smaller fraction of china’s population. The population needs to decrease. It just has to; else we are heading straight for a brick wall. The First World War was huge. The Second World War was even bigger. 6 million Jewish people executed because of the ideals of one man. So, one man can change the face of the earth. The population is growing which means more technology. More people who want increasing technology, and there are some who want increased production of protective military. What do you think will happen when WWIII comes around? History repeats itself constantly, so there will be a World War Three. China is becoming a superpower of the world. What happens when the superpowers fight each other? The United States. Russia. China. The United States let loose two atomic bombs in WWII. How many will be launched in WWIII? A nuclear war would change the face of the earth forever. I heard once that radiation has a half life of 2 billion years. I don’t know if that’s true, but it very well could be. Would you visit the area after a nuclear bomb hits? The cities of many countries could very well be destroyed. But I will revisit this topic later; this is supposed to be about global warming right now. The population is increasing which means more vehicles, more waste, and more electricity consumption. The world’s population took a sudden jump after WWII and it is hurting the planet. We need to, simply, have fewer children. If the worlds population doesn’t start decreasing eventually the world will have to have poverty because there won’t be enough resources to support the world, not enough distribution, without it having serious effects on the environment. People need to think before they act.
This brings me to another topic which I would like to cover. I started briefly talking about wars. What other species has huge battles between millions of their kind destroying the populations of both sides? One side is victorious yes, but only the few that are left can enjoy the victory. All the people need to do is learn to think for themselves. Are you fighting for a good cause? If the answer is No, you might have to seriously rethink your life. If the cause you are fighting for isn’t just in your mind, you have to stop. Don’t fight for someone else’s ideals unless you believe in them. People are heading straight towards the end of the tunnel, and there’s no light. So we need to create it. Instead of fighting for freedom, stop the fighting to let people be free. If you are attacking the government about things that you don’t agree with, stop. Think of a solution, an intelligent way out. Start a political group which stands for the values which you believe are for the good of all people and get yourself elected by the people into apposition where you can fix the problems of the law. Never let go of your beliefs for some else’s. You need to believe you have what you want, and you need to take all opportunities when you can. People have a bad habit of ignoring things, procrastination. If you don’t know what procrastination, I have come up with a fairly good definition.

Procrastination: A devil of nature which allows humans to completely ignore the problems which are clearly presented to them; Ignorance of some of the most important facts and allowing yourself to be deceived into pretending that the problems of the world don’t effect you; Ignoring your duty to the world in order to comfort yourself.

Again I come to the word duty. Duty to fight for your country is, in my mind, a mask to convince people to fight for the values of another. Poor man fighting a rich mans war.
And now, temporarily off the topic of global warming, I will continue to tell you about war. War is constantly going on, everywhere in the world, secretly waged against the rules of the law. Wars waged by rebels, outcasts, and governments. Many would describe war as something poisoning the earth and I would agree, but with a different view. War is the product of humans; therefore it isn’t a poison of the earth but a poison of humans. It won’t kill the earth unless our technologies get more powerful. But it will kill the human race if we aren’t careful. Humans are the worst species to wield power. We are capable of using it, abusing it, giving it, and keeping it. But humans are greedy, and I will come back to that later, so they keep the power to themselves. Hold it for themselves. Pet it and stroke it and then use it to cause troubles in the world for their personal gain, usually for profit. You see, there are so many aspects of human error we can’t control them all, but we can control greed. Those in powerful positions just choose not to, which is why our politician of good will is going to have a hell of a time getting to the position he needs to be in. Greed controls the world. Power is the currency of the devil, the rich, and the government. Now ask yourself. Are you in a position of power? Now, ask yourself if you are a good person. Finally, ask yourself if you are happy in life. If you are the best at deceiving people including yourself, the answers to all those questions will be yes. If you are a good, honest working person, the answers to those questions will usually be no, yes, yes. There is a pattern in there. No matter what you answered, you will benefit from making the world a better place. Whether you do or don’t depends on your ideals, and your greed. Fix the problem of greed by not being part of it.
War is the product of greed. It has the power to change the way we think of the world. So why can’t we change it without prompting? We can, you just need to try. Make a good, un-lazy, un-procrastinating effort. Back on topic, war can be fixed by you. All you have to do is refuse to fight.
This brings me to the next part of the human puppet show. I say puppet show because the public is being deceived and controlled by the government. I recently watched a move called loose change which accuses the government for deceiving the public into thinking the twin towers were hit by a plane. It has a phenomenal amount of evidence supporting the fact that billions of dollars in gold were moved out of the south tower days before the attack. How did they know to move so much gold right in time for the attack? It also shows explosions coming from the tower below the falling part of the tower. Ever wondered why the buildings around the twin towers were left unscathed? My mother and step-father recently visited New York and found it odd that there wasn’t much damage to the surrounding buildings when they visited ground zero. Apparently also the pentagon was hit with a plane but for some reason there was no debris, kind of like the crash of flight 93 which was supposed to have crashed. Have you ever heard the tapes recorded during flight 93? I have and they don’t sound like people who have just witnessed numerous murders and are currently riding in a plane being controlled by men who are flying off course. Apparently, the government was working with a new technology a while before. This technology was designed to imitate people voices perfectly and the government was interested. This may have helped with the tapes. For anyone wanting to hear the truth, I suggest you watch “Loose Change”. But that’s not my movie, this isn’t even a movie it’s a book (however I thank Dylan Avery for showing his point of view with us, and for showing us what I believe really happened on September 11th, 2001). The point of telling you that was to help explain the deception of the government. Is Osama really to blame for 9/11? I don’t believe it myself. The version of the program I used to write this was made after 9/11 which is why it has Osama Bin Laden in the dictionary of words. But it doesn’t have Saddam Hueissein. Funny how he’s not in the picture until after 9/11. A good distraction from their failure to find Osama. Did it seem like they put much effort into finding him? It gets you thinking, doesn’t it? Why would the United States go after the man they blame for a terrorist attack, which resulted in the death of a few thousand American Citizens, then direct all attention to a man who isn’t even residing in the same country? Is it really a war about oil, like commonly believed, or is it something more? Either way it leaves a black mark on the government of the United States. Canada is in Afghanistan. The United States is in Iraq. Every site I visited looking for evidence against Osama used the word Jihad, and they described it as a holy war. This in its own is proof of the knowledge against him. I don’t blame or condemn anybody without solid evidence and the lack of knowledge about these matters that people have reeks of blame. A jihad is misinterpreted as a holy war. What it really means is a struggle, a struggle within oneself, to achieve a person goal. Using the word Jihad against Osama is proof of either the lack of intelligence of the media, or the plot to accuse a possibly innocent man. What do you think of when you hear the word Taliban? Probably terrorism and turbans. What do you really know about their country? These assumptions are flat out racist. Thoughts put in our heads by the government to make us encourage their “war on terror”.
My next point is racism, the deliberate targeting of an ethnic group (usually other than your own). "I don't have any link to the US attacks, but I second it as it is the oppressors' reaction against suppresser." I recently looked online for evidence against Osama and found that, since there is no evidence, he is wanted for alleged attacks on a US embassy. And for that, there is a $5 million price on his head. I’m not saying he is innocent, but I am saying that because of his alleged past terrorist acts it would be fairly simple for the government to convince the North American public that he is to blame. And you are forced to blame his culture, his religion, his country. How man racist remarks have you heard about anyone from the Middle East? I would place a bet for all that I own that you have heard racist jokes made about people from the Middle East. Not long ago I heard someone joking saying that they saw Osama Bin Laden driving a taxi in Toronto. I also heard that Saddam is Abu in disguise, hiding out in the kwikee mart. These racist comments may sound funny at first but when you think about them they really show you the lengths people will go to in order to single out someone else as the problem. Blame them, it’s their fault. And with the right amount of false proof they can say, “Who else could it be?” Well mister president, it could be you. Racism is not just to people in other countries, its all around us. It’s everywhere, don’t you see it? Or do you pretend it doesn’t exist? I figure the people who will dislike my book most will be those who shroud themselves in a jacket of deceit, those able to lie to themselves more than anybody else, the ones who can do bad yet convince themselves they are doing good. If racism is all around us, does that make us racists? Are we subjected to racism so often that it eventually grows into us, becomes part of our everyday life? I am compelled to say no but I myself am not sure. It might, but it also might not. I am led to believe that it does though, which is the most disturbing part of this topic. If we can start to believe in what we are exposed to, we could become horrible people in a short time. The worst part of this is that it’s true. It has to be. If we didn’t believe in what we are over-exposed to, propaganda wouldn’t be such a powerful tool for the government. Are you convinced to join the military because you want to, or because you are pumped up into believing it’s something that it’s not by the government propaganda? Yes, propaganda still exists. It, too, is all around us. It inspires the racism against the Middle East. It isn’t just a tool used in the past. It seems to crude and evil to brainwash the people into doing things they don’t believe in, but if it didn’t still exist there would be no war in Iraq. There could be nobody to fight it. And there wouldn’t have been a World War One. Nor would there have been a World War two.
Boom, another topic with which I will speak freely and speak my mind to the people who so choose to read my book. Propaganda, in my mind, is the work of the devil. Or if you don’t believe in the devil, it is the most evil of evils ever created to destroy humankind. The government uses it to their advantage, to “help the world”, but the world would be helped if it were just extinguished. No propaganda equals less military. Less military equals a smarter use of military resources, less fights for no reason. No more illegal wars. People would have their own minds, not brainwashed by those in power into believing what they want you to believe. And therein lies the true definition of free will. Free will is, always has been, and always will be, the ability to choose. To choose free of skepticism, to choose free of pressure, to choose without negative consequences, to choose for you own, to choose for the good of the entire planet, and not to choose whatever will be most profitable for you at the sacrifice of others. What would you do if you knew you were causing deaths across the globe, unstoppable? Good news, you’re not. But your ideas might be, if they are the ideas which the rest of the human population shares. So, in short, the real propaganda is in everything. Everything we do affects the planet. Ever action has an equal and opposite reaction. This law in mind, let’s think about the energy we use. Coal plants have a huge effect on the planet, the reaction from you using the electricity carelessly. Nuclear energy has a reaction, a very large reaction. Remember what happened in Chernobyl? What is to keep it from happening in other places such as near my hometown of Newcastle, Ontario? Canada is right next door to the United States. A nuclear meltdown could have dramatic effects for a great distance. What will happen to the great lakes, the world’s largest source of fresh water? Where will our water come from, the ocean? The cleaning of water filled with sediment gets mighty expensive, especially if you have to clean enough to supply water for almost an entire continent. What do you think will happen to the taxes? Up they go. If taxes go up on fuel, the price will go up on items. Companies then have to pay their workers more and they spend more and prices go up and then the companies have to raise wages again. BOOM! Wage price spiral. Massive inflation and eventually the dollar value is less than is naturally possible. The radiation isn’t helping either. I personally don’t agree with nuclear energy, but it is up to you to decide for yourself. Yes, it is cleaner and more efficient, but there’s another downside. They tell us that the extra radiation is healthy, but I don’t buy it. Guess what? Excessive radiation causes thyroid cancer. Guess where has a higher concentration of people with thyroid cancer than any other part of the province? Ding, correct answer! Welcome to Newcastle, where people get radiation therapy to help get rid of a type of cancer caused by an excess of radiation. Coal plants are one of the best ways to quickly and efficiently kill the environment, and nuclear isn’t the healthiest or safest way of producing electricity. And now we face yet another choice. Cheaper or safer? The big, bad, and ugly smoke stack using fairly dangerous and polluting nuclear and coal, or small and numerous solar cells or wind turbines? Isn’t the choice clear? If it doesn’t seem clear to you maybe you should run for office. What we need is yet another good businessman who can work together with a politician of good will to create a clean safe energy source for the entire world. Along with this new technological evolution comes the trend of hybrid and electric cars, which will finally catch on and people will become more environmentally friendly, a complete change of mindset. But the problems aren’t gone.
Corporations are beginning to take initiative, aren’t they? Yes, I notice it too. Oh wait, no I don’t because it wouldn’t be very profitable to sell environmentally friendly products. I hear that people are being taken advantage of by corporations, and I know it’s true. I don’t mean the average person, I mean people like farmers of coffee and cocoa. Ethiopia is a large grower of coffee which seems convenient for the large coffee companies. Why pay someone who already lives below the poverty line any more than they have to? Who else are they going to sell their product to? It’s sell for lower or lose out and the flow of cash will stop. But basically, already has stopped (or slowed down to the point where having a job in the coffee business makes you rich compared to your neighbors, but you still live below the poverty line). The answer is with the corporations with a brain. Fair trade coffee. What a great idea! Buy your stock for normal prices which don’t leave the suppliers on the streets and get praised, jack up prices and make a killing! Though the motives are questionable, the idea helps out the problem and is therefore worth supporting. Fair trade coffer is good for the world. If every company would use fair trade, then there would be no such thing as fair trade. Isn’t that the way things should be? No fair trade because everyone trades fair anyways. Either way if you support this by purchasing fair trade coffee for a little more than regular coffee, I’d say you can give yourself a pat on the back for helping solve one of the world’s problems.
Canada has, as of this time, never had a woman elected as the prime minister or even head of one political group. Does this say anything to you? To me it’s clear as day, screaming in my face the sexist words of the country. Most heads of major companies and organizations in Canada are men, which disturbs me. The United States has a large number of women in high positions, especially in the government. What kind of message does this send to the people of Canada, other than that their government is possibly sexist, and maybe they are too? They won’t want to hear that, no matter how true it may be. Whether they want to hear it or not, it’s our responsibility as humans to make them hear it, make them see the light which is a progressing world. Yes I believe everybody ahs to make their own decisions, but I think this is a topic where everyone should decide unanimously on. I think it’s largely important that they do, and I truly believe that everybody can get women recognized in all countries more so. I think have permission to speak freely about this issue as long as I support the clear answer which is morally right, the answer that supports women’s rights.

~Sometimes I sit here, and I wonder why the world is the way it is. Why isn’t it different? Why isn’t the world a fairer place for all people and animals to live harmoniously? Why do we have four limbs instead of 8? We never can know for sure I guess, I suppose it all depends on what you believe. Belief is the most powerful tool in the arsenal of humanity.

Human rights are what I believe to be one of the most controversial yet most important topics of the world we live in. Why does this topic even exist? If all humans had the same rights, the same opportunities, then there would be no war on terrorism, no reason to liberate other countries. Why should people have to work for below what people in other countries make? Yes, some people will always rise above the norm and take control. But if everybody was treated the same, this would fix a huge amount of the worlds problems. A reasonable minimum wage in every country, for starters would be a huge improvement. The poor may get richer and the rich may get poorer, but there are more poor people than rich, which makes it a better decision than the decision we never made.
Does violence lead to more violence? Well, let’s take a look back in time and see. A race to build massive armies which were designed for violence, and the murder of the archduke of Austria-Hungary led to world war one. The treaty of Versailles, which ended world war one, was evidently a cause of the unsettlement of many countries which lost out (such as Germany, who was unfairly blamed for world war one and forced to pay for the damages), which was a major contributor to world war two. Will world war two somehow lead to another world war? Or will the war on terror be the cause? Maybe unsettlement because of other significant battles will be the cause. Who can tell, who can predict what will happen? But either way, the answer to that question burning a hole in our minds is yes. Violence evidently leads to more violence in almost every circumstance. Some will argue that this is not true, but some always do (and those few who disagree usually have no evidence against the case – but this isn’t about who is right or who is wrong, it’s about our own opinions, and everyone has a different opinion on controversial matters such as these). What we need is another great leader, one who supports peace, non-violence. By having a person like this we could end violence, we could end wars. Without violence, it is unlikely that more violence will be spawned. People learn from what they see. If they see no violence, they won’t be violent or aggressive.
This is where I combine “violence leading to more violence” and ‘human rights”. Do you think putting people in prison is really a good idea? After you contain someone in a small area for a large percent of their lifetime and then release them, it can be extremely damaging for them. Now, I don’t know of a better solution but I know that putting people in a small dark cell for such a long time is not a good idea. Yes, it keeps them away from people exterminating the threat temporarily, but eventually they will get out and the violent lifestyle of prison will lead to more violent crimes. And then there’s the death penalty, the biggest Abomination of human rights ever created. It still exists in many countries around the world, including the United States. Does this seem right to you? Executing other humans is a bold statement. Maybe if they hadn’t been exposed to the violence by their own country, they might not have begun to think about committing violent crimes. And let’s not forget, the judicial system isn’t perfect. “Innocent until proven guilty” isn’t exactly how it works. Well, it does work that way but it’s very deceiving. “Proven guilty” doesn’t mean they know for sure that the person is guilty; it just means that with enough evidence against the person they can assume they are guilty. Doesn’t sound proven to me, unless there are eyewitnesses or other good supporting evidence such as clear recordings of the crime. I do believe we need to solve the problem of crime, but I don’t believe unethical treatment of people is the right way to solve the problem. What if the crime was justified? I don’t think it’s possible to justify murder, but stealing food to support your starving family shouldn’t be a just reason to fine somebody for more than the groceries were worth. Did you know that a man successfully sued another man for running over his hands? The driver had to hand over eighty grand! Of course this seems just, but when you look at the fact that the man suing was trying to steal the car owners hub caps at the time, you begin to wonder what the judge or jury was thinking when they awarded a criminal that large sum of money, paid for by a man who didn’t know the thief was there trying to steal his hub caps. If this happened to you, wouldn’t you be a little pissed off? Well of course you would, you lost a years salary for stopping a criminal in the act with a justifiable force.
Justifiable force, isn’t that one of the issues concerning a “just war”? You can’t fight a war without a reason. And you can’t fight a war without using forces about equal to those used against you. Is the war on terror justified? I would say not. Starting a massive war which spans over two countries, killing many more people than the 9/11 attacks isn’t exactly using a justifiable amount of force. So what are the repercussions? How can the United States withdraw from Iraq without being accused of creating an unjust war? Unless they find a reason, they might be into a real problem. Crimes against humanity are described as “large scale atrocities against a body of people”. How many innocent Iraqi citizens do you think have been killed by American soldiers, or how many afghani citizens killed by Canadian soldiers? Enough to be called a “body of people”, or just enough to be called a war but not enough to accuse multiple countries of crimes against humanity? A crime against humanity is a direct or systematic attack on a body of civilians, which includes murder, extermination, enslavement, forced deportation of population, imprisonment, torture, rape, apartheid, enforced dissappearance of persons (sounds like something out of any movie involving the CIA), and other inhumane acts of similar nature intentionally causing suffering, or serious injury. I am led to believe that a number of these have happened in Iraq, especially the last one (since it covers a broad area of violent crimes). Did you know that many word proccessing programs call it an error if united states isnt capitalized? But iraq, afhganistan, pakistan, armenia, bolivia, algeria, bulgaria, eritrea, and many others are fine when left uncapitolized. There are technically 243 countries on the earth. Did you know there are over 75 Presidential Emergency Facilities built for before and after a nuclear war? And since 1951 there have been 67,500 known nuclear missiles built. Most disturbing of all, there have been 11 nuclear missiles lost in accidents and never recovered. Are nuclear weapons a justifiable force? NO. Please, never come to me and tell me “yes, it is, we need therm to protect our freedom!” Yes, just like the military is protecting the freedom of the afghanis and iraqis. With a strong fist, freedom is guaranteed. 67,500 nuclear weapons! That’s a huge number! I may have mentioned before that a couple of the worlds nuclear powers have the power to destroy the world’s surface nultiple times. Now, if I’m correct, you can only destroy the world so many times before you realize that everyone you’re targeting died with the first wave of apocolyptic destruction you let loose. I would say enough missiles to destroy the world once is overkill, why would you destroy the entire world anyways?Where will we live when we’re done fighting the nuclear war to end all nuclear wars? Let’s travel around the world and look for a place to live in case everywhere else is destroyed! last time I checked, the world has already been fully explored. But this is unlikely, so I’ll stop obsessing over my hate for nuclear weapons.
Drugs are getting to be a problem everywhere. In my school in bowmanville ont., I constantly hear people talking about their drugs, someone elses drugs, buying drugs, selling drugs, and everything else to do with drugs. Here are some facts you should know about marijuana.
A) it damages you immune system permanently
B) it can cause serious mental illness
C) it contains some of the same chemicals in cigarettes known to cause cancer
D) people who smoke marijuana often get the same breathing problems as smokers
E) it can damage your short term memory
F) can cause an increased heart rate
G) can cause anxiety
I went online and found a number of websites that clearly oppose all of these facts. It amazed me. There are a huge number of websites that argue against the fact that marijuana causes mental illness and especially brain damage. “Marijuana doesn’t cause brain damage, its ok for you!” I’ve heard this a hundred million times and, frankly, I’m tired of hearing it. Marijuana isn’t good for you, period. As soon as people stop supporting it, people will stop smoking it. Make websites that argue with scientifically proven facts about marijuana illegal and I’m sure that marijuana sales will decrease. It can also cause birth defects, but that’s not a huge deal since most other products of the medical world do. The list of side effects is like something off the side of a box of those new birth control pills; marijuana! Side effects may include: addiction, bleeding, temporary deafness, blindness, yellowing of eyes and skin, nausea, depression, dementia, headache, seizures, insomnia, fever, glaucoma, erectile dysfunction, hypertension, trouble breathing, impaired judgment, melasma, thrombosis, diarrhea, stomach pain followed by the vomiting of all internal organs and/or death, etc. the list goes on and on, and people still smoke it constantly. The average teen’s idea of a good weekend is getting drunk and stoned in their basement with friend trying to evade their parents. But wait! Marijuana isn’t all they do. They do “e”, and they breathe in aerosols because it gets them high. Also, apparently around half of the US population has tried LSD. Does this make much sense? That means that one in every 12.5 people has tried LSD! That’s a lot of people! You probably know more than 12 and a half people (I hope you don’t know half a person, otherwise you might need to read the section on murder), which means there is a good chance you know someone who has tried LSD. Now, if everybody tried there best to not be that person, then the number would instantly decrease from 12.5 to, well who knows. Maybe half that, maybe a quarter, maybe less but it would definitely decrease. I personally don’t believe in anti drug campaigns, etc. We all have to make our own decision on drugs; whether we use them or not is our choice. But by choosing not to be a druggie, we can set an example for people who look around and say “should I do drugs? Well, not many people are so maybe I should follow the popular example”. Right now however, the number of drug users is just too high. So do me a favor and don’t do drugs. Not because you might destroy your mind and body, but because you set an example to everyone. Little siblings, neighbors, even just random children who look to older people for an example of how to act. If you do drugs, it may end up being your fault that little Johnny down the street dies of a massive brain hemorrhage due to LSD use, all because he saw you baked on your front lawn with a bunch of other random stoned people dancing with garden tools looking relatively happy, and all that many kids want is to be happy. That’s what life is really about, isn’t it? And if you need drugs to accomplish that, you seriously need to take a long hard look at your life and say to yourself “where should I start renovating?” That wouldn’t make a bad slogan for an anti drug campaign, if you think they work. “Renovate your life!”

~Drugs probably seem like a good idea at the time. Experience some crazy things, feel good, and enjoy yourself, fit in; all without consequence. If you take a second to think though, there is consequence. Just because you deny the side effects, doesn’t mean they won’t affect you.

Many people see pacifism as the perfect way to end pain and suffering, but I personally don’t believe it to be as effective as they wish. If everybody is a pacifist then it works, but in this day and age there are people who won’t work together for it, even fight against it. Pacifists are passive; they won’t end violence, only prevent themselves from instigating more. We need active people, not passive people. I agree completely with their objective, but it isn’t for all of us. We can’t have all activists either, and too many would be a bad idea as well because conflicting interests could create more violence. We need a perfect blend, a small number of activists that’s higher than the current number, and the rest of us pacifists, doing our best to keep peace. We don’t even have to change our lifestyle too much, just cut out the violence .Of course people would fight against this though, because there is money in violence. There always has been and always will be. WRESTLING! WATCH ONE MAN FAKE A FIGHT WITH ANOTHER! Hitting each other with chairs, slamming people down on the ground, jumping on one another? Doesn’t sound like the typical anti violence person’s idea eh? Really, the bottom line is that people are so into violence that they will pay good money to see two men (who by the way aren’t average people, how many of you have muscles so big you almost expect there to be a gas tank and steering wheel on there somewhere?) fight each other so brutally that it speaks of cavemen habits. In England in Elizabethan times people would tie up a bear and let it fight a pack of dogs and bet on who would win. This is about the closest we could legally come to that and we’re doing it. Even if it’s fake, it still teaches bad habits to the young everywhere watching and dreaming of being able to fight for money (if this seems like one of your children’s habits then you might want to consider regulating their TV watching). Please, somebody come and oppose me. Come to me and say “wrestling doesn’t encourage kids to fight”, I want you to. I want to see somebody who honestly thinks that wrestling doesn’t encourage to fight, and then I want them to write and I.Q. test because I don’t think anyone who agrees that wrestling teaches good morals can be very smart, no offense if you have a valid reason which doesn’t include self defense or anything of the sort. That’s a big defending reason for people to join karate classes, buy guns, and bear spray. Isn’t it? I need a gun for self defense! It’s my responsibility to my family to protect them by having a dangerous weapon in the house which everyone, including the kids has access to! Smart one Jim, your kid just shot up a school because he was raised watching violence his whole life and had easy access to a weapon capable of killing a large number of people. Who honestly needs a gun for self defense? I think nobody! Guns won’t solve your problems! You don’t want one for protection, you want one because your buddies have guns, and they have them because they think there cool, which is a really bad decision because they think they know how to handle a weapon safely because they watched action movies since they were 12 years old just starting to accelerate their life in front of the boob tube. Yes sir, go ahead and believe that you’re a hero next time you shoot up a bad guy rather than giving him a fair trial. Yes sir, violence leads to more violence yet again.
Ever been bothered by the fact that you are constantly being targeted by someone? I don’t mean in a violent way (well, not in the usual way violence is showed), I mean by the business world. You see the big yellow M and you are being drawn in to buy what they want you to so Ronald the clown can get rich and sit in a big comfy chair all day and tell his people what to do in order to make more money. Have you ever been inside a mall? Of course, everybody has. It’s like stepping into a murder pit! You are instantly targeted as the next buyer of whatever it is that you don’t really want, and there is no way to stop it. This is one thing that I thought I’d add, even though I believe it’s impossible to stop without damaging our economy.
And here comes a big one! Gun laws, oh aren’t they fun. Are they too lax or too strict? I think they are too lax. If we increase the restriction on gun laws, less people will be able to have them. There should be some kind of mental and physical test to be able to own a gun, making it difficult for people to get guns. Well, not really difficult, but you must have a good reason (one that doesn’t include self defense). Guns should be perfectly legal for hunting, but you should also have to take a two week course each year about hunting to be able to own a hunting rifle. That way at least those who own guns might be tempted to hunt rather than have it sit in their basement for self protection until the day when they murder someone for something which could have been stopped without the gun. I also have a problem with selling things like high powered sub-machine guns, or hand guns, or any other kind of weapon which is clearly not for hunting. Guns aren’t meant to be for murdering each other. This topic is one which everyone will have a different opinion on, which I won’t argue with. Everybody’s opinion matters, so everybody’s opinion should be considered.

~I started out on a positive note, but I soon realized that the world isn’t a positive place, and it won’t be until we make it so, and so I decided to make it more realistic for the world we live in. And the scary part is that we are the ones shaping the world we live in. We always hear stories about people helping to end world issues, but if we are shaping the world then why hasn’t it changed? That doesn’t speak well of our priorities.

This isn’t really a book, more just like a collection of writing about my views on the world. That’s the best I can do, really. I can’t tell you what to think, I can’t put ideas in your head or words in your mouths, and I can’t tell you what to believe in. I can, however, tell you that I believe in world peace, and solving world hunger, and saving our ozone (In the winter of 2007 they said the warm weather was caused by El Nino, because they wanted to deny global warming – it snowed like hell for a couple days right after everybody had accepted the El Nino thing, then it melted again as if nature was trying to prove a point).
Not long ago my brother told me a story that he heard from a friend of his. His friend was on vacation in Florida and as he was shopping when he heard three gun shots from outside the store. He asked someone what it was and the person replied that it was just black people being shot outside because they didn’t belong here, and that he would be ok since he was white. Land of the free and home of the brave, and as long as you are white you won’t get shot. Does this not speak of the racism? Come on, what the **Filtered** does it matter whether your skin is white, black, yellow, red or even green? Who gives a damn? We’re all human beings. If I painted my skin turquoise would I still be a human being? Of course I would! What kind of world do we live in where you walk out of a store to see cops arresting someone and some dead bodies? This is off-topic, since I covered it before, but maybe I will come back to it after. Right now I have other points to discuss, since the world is full of problems which need solving.
When you think of teenagers you probably think of lazy, dirty, drug-using, liquor guzzling, video game playing, property destroying people younger than yourself who think they are better than you. Don’t try to deny it if you are one of the people who thinks of teenagers this way, just recognize that you are part of a stereotyping group. Then try to find a solution. Stereotyping is one of the worst possible things you could do. By generalizing the actions and habits of a group you make yourself blind to their identities when you have to deal with them, concealing their qualities behind a thick slick gooey wall of stereotypes. People stereotype other people without even knowing it, and it is slowly and surely tearing down our hard learned multiculturalism. One day at school we were watching superman videos from the time of WWII. It portrayed superman bravely slaying hundreds of Japanese people, all of which had done no harm to him, who all had small eyes, buck teeth and most often glasses. This is downright stereotypical! Superman being a racist cartoon? It’s unheard of! But when you examine cartoons, movies, and other media from today they almost always portray a group of men (or one man) in an American location bravely fighting off others while the citizens sit there being helpless. And there’s more! What could be more American than The Simpsons? Yes, the Simpsons! We have Bart, stereotyping young boys as troublesome! We have Lisa, here to stereotype girls by making it appear that the average girl is better and smarter than the average boy! We have Marge, stereotyping married women as stay at home moms with a boring life! And then, there is Homer. Yes, Homer! The dumbest funniest oaf of them all, stereotyping the average man as a dimwitted **Filtered** with less brains than humanly possible. Is it possible to portray Homer without making him appear to be the average North American family-man? This is a stereotype of the nuclear family! Stereotyping is everywhere, whether you recognize it or not. Everybody does it but nobody agrees with it. Next time you think that you don’t stereotype people, think of a group of people. Any group will do. Now try to imagine things that identify them. When you think of Australia, do you think of the late Steve Irwin? I do. But I don’t know if he was Australian. I don’t know where he was born, where he lived, or anything else about him. When I think of Australia it reminds me of him, but I know most Australians probably aren’t like him.
Something that bothers me is advertising. I was considering not putting this part of my writing in here, but I figured what the hell? After all, this is a piece on my opinion of the world, so this definitely counts as a part. Anyways, advertising has always bothered me. It doesn’t get on my nerves because it stops me from watching my favorite TV shows for a few minutes, nor does it bother me because I always happen to be the 1 millionth visitor to my favorite websites (which sometimes have hit counters, which kind of kills the ad). It bothers me because it deceives the audience into thinking that the product will make their lives somehow better or more valuable. Don’t get me wrong, sometimes this is the case, but most often the product isn’t going to make your life better. It’s kind of hard to imagine what the creators of these advertisements are thinking. When I see advertisements, I see the business behind it. If it isn’t a business that I encourage then I ignore the ad. That’s it. The influence of music is incredible, so I found one of my favorite songs from one of my favorite bands and read the lyrics to myself. After much consideration, and a few other song choices, I decided this would help describe advertising in a different manner than what you (the crowd) are used to.

The credits roll, the camera pans
And in the midst our hero stands
He starts to speak, then folds his hands in prayer
An awkward pause, then what’s my line?
There’s nothing left to say this time
And what would you say to a bad guy who’s not there?
In terms of roman numerals,
He’s IV league with Roman Polanski
He’d win an Oscar every time if he was only given the chance

He started on the Broadway stage
A product of another age,
An offer and a pilot drew him west
The series bombed, commercials came
And though nobody knew his name
They all recognized the potential he possessed

Deodorants and dental floss
And how much does that new car cost
His acting as methodical in you don’t need a medical
He’s branded like a racing car,
He’s like a movie star without movies

The week of Independence Day,
The casting agent called to say
Your smile could save our movie and the world

Buy buy buy buy
Sell sell sell
Hoe well you learn
To not discern
Who’s foe and who is friend
We’ll own them all in the end

It goes like this, we have no choice; the minarets,
The wailing voice
And vaguely Celtic music fills the air
We choose a foreigner to hate,
The new Iraq gets more irate
We really know nothing about them, and no one cares

Aladdin and the forty thieves
Enhanced by brand new special effects
Saddam and his cow disease spiced up
With some gratuitous sex

A movie’s made, a war is won
A low-speed chase, a smoking gun
Distracts us while the actor takes the stand

Buy buy buy buy
Sell sell sell
How well you learn
To not discern
Who’s foe and who is friend
We’ll own them all in the end

- Sell Sell Sell, by the Barenaked Ladies (Maroon)

How many homeless people do you see on average when you go to the nearest city? Probably quite a few. Every time I go into Toronto, I see homeless people on the streets with empty cups. People just ignore them as they walk by, as if they’re not important. If somebody would just help these people then they could live normal lives and be happier people, but instead they’re out on the street. Of course, people are bound to say “there has to be a reason they’re homeless”, or something along the lines of “it’s their own fault”. I was told a story about someone who worked in a soup kitchen, feeding homeless people all day. One of the homeless people was a rich businessman with a wife and kids. Then he was sued and bankrupted by a large company. He was forced to sell his house, and his wife divorced him and left with his kids. This is just another example of how large businesses can sometimes take advantage of people. I’m not saying all companies do it, but I am saying that some do. So next time you walk past a homeless person and think “get a job”, think about what they’re story might be before judging them.
I hear about people cheating on their wives and husbands, and their boyfriends or girlfriends. They talk about how upset they are, and why they would do such a thing, then they turn around and do it themselves. There are people who go through boyfriends and girlfriends like termites through a log, and it bothers people. Then people judge them, calling them prostitutes or other things. Why do this? You’re all people and you don’t need to cling to members of the other sex as if you can’t live without them. People cheat on one another like no tomorrow and they don’t seem to mind after a couple days. At my school there was a kid who was going out with a girl, and then he started going out with another girl at the same time. The first girl dumped him for cheating on her, and then got a new boyfriend the next day. The boy then started cheating on the second girl with the first girl he was going out with. Do any of you see a problem with this? It’s not natural and it sure as hell doesn’t make for a healthy lifestyle. If you go through partners that fast, you need some serious help.
The amount of obesity in North America is starting to bother me, and most likely other people too. It’s not wrong, but it isn’t healthy. You don’t need all these crazy weight loss ideas and you sure as hell don’t need surgery. All you need to do is adjust your diet. I don’t mean go on a crazy diet or any kind of diet you found at wal-mart’s magazine section, I just mean eat healthier. Don’t put salt on anything that doesn’t need it, don’t use butter OR margarine (because neither one is very good for you), try to eat smaller portions and don’t have seconds or desert, and eat less red meat. Meat is good for you to a certain degree, but try having beans instead once in a while (they supply you with iron, making them a good meat supplement). Poultry is good for you, as well as fish. There are mounds of recipes you can make easily that don’t require any fattening additives. A good rule is to not eat out of the house more than once every two weeks, and try to eat nothing that comes ready made. Drink less soft drinks and more water! It really isn’t that complicated. Starving yourself isn’t good either, so just DON’T DO IT. I like people who say things up front, which is why I like Dennis Leary. In the words of Dennis Leary, “put the fork down!”

Total number of nuclear bombers built, 1945-present: 4,680

Money paid to U.S. citizens under the Radiation Exposure and Compensation Act of 1990, as of January 13, 1998: approximately $225,000,000 (6,336 claims approved; 3,156 denied)

Number of secret Presidential Emergency Facilities built for use during and after a nuclear war: more than 75 (how secretive, we know the number)

Number of nuclear tests in the Pacific: 106

Number of nuclear tests in the Nevada: 911

Total number of nuclear missiles built, 1951-present: 67,500

Is this not enough to spark an interest?

World domination! People joke about it and mock it in cartoons and such, but it is a very real concern. WWII: Hitler and his army of Nazis attempted to completely assimilate the Jewish religion. Had he succeeded, what would the world be like? Surely he would not have stopped there. Could he resist having absolute power over the globe? Probably not. If it’s possible, anyone who can will most likely attempt it. Is the war on terrorism really about terrorism, or is it just the first step?

Ok, I actually read the 1st paragragh... and I'll actually comment

You make it sound as if we kill our military, that we could feed world hunger. Truth? you know what, probably! Whats the problem with it? The terrorists would annihilate us... and then life would be a living hell.

Dude, calm down. I disagree with you already, but I have copied your work and will read it on Word, because I can format to make it easier reading. However, this is part of the forum is for Stargate stuff, not politics. This and That is for well, this and that, which I feel this falls under. Plus, people can still link to your stuff because the link will be here, it'll just say moved.

So, I ask again for this to be moved. Now excuse me while I go read. I'll come up with counterpoints later, if I feel like it.
My name is red because I'm one of the few Tok`ra. Your questions have now been answered.

Actually, as much as I agree with you, terrorists will probably never annhilate us. They'll cause a lot of grief though. Now back to reading (or, starting).

Yeah, I skimmed the first paragraph, and some of the last also. I saw Hitler as well. You do know that everytime America has gone to war, some form of oppression has occurred, right? The Patriot Act doesn't even imprison anyone. Lincoln had martial law declared, WWII and the unlawful arrests of Japanese/Italian/German citizens, WWI's propoganda ministry and press blackouts...

Thats what I'm doing right now... although I find your anti-Christian views Appalling, especially Christians donate for food for the starving more than any other group...

You are talking about the thread maker right?
My name is red because I'm one of the few Tok`ra. Your questions have now been answered.

Ok, I'm going to stop reading it now, because of my differences in views... One more comment.

*quote* I cant agree or disagree with you, becasue there are no wrong opinions. */quote*

This is the dumbest thing ever. Why? Because lets say.. hmm Lets say I want to kill you. Its my opinion. Its right, right? You can't disagree with me, right? So lets say I kill you. I did nothing wrong, right? It was just my opinion on what I should have (or did) wrong...

and now class, we see there is a right and a wrong afterall...

Good God, it's 9 pages with font 7. You must have spent days on this.

I hit this part and just stopped. There's only so much ridiculous extremism you can take in a day and I just read about one of the Anna Nicole Smith claimants suing Bill O'Reilly over defament

BTW, you do know that the earth changes temperature often (well, in planet years, which is like hundreds of thousands of years for us) Supposedly, we're coming off of a mini-Ice Age (1700's) and ocean levels/temperatures during the dinosaur years were estimated higher than our current ones.

And that was while fossil fuel still existed!

PEOPLE! alot of my things are flawed because i havent had a chancde to review and edit it yet. You can disagree as much as you want, it doesnt bother me. If you dont like my vierws then say whatever you want but dont promote hatred towards me. Im not sure if i'll get in any trouble for this or not (b/c is really controversial and b/c its really long). please dont sit here disagreeing. this is the UNEDITED VERSION and I will make corrections to it later. Some of this stuff, i agree, points fingers and is wrong. If my forum account survives then I promise I will post the EDITED VERSION later. I wil ltake your comments into account and get rid of things that people really hate. This isnt to target anyone, by the way, but it seems that way at the beginning. *Ill edit out the part where I compare the united states way of doign thiings to hitlers.
