I haven't read the entire thread, but I have a suggestion that might work:

Have an ingame page made by Forum/Admin/Jason where everyone can vote if they so choose. That way it's one vote per player. If you want to eliminate certain players, like players that joined a month ago, you can make this available up to a certain id.

I don't know how much work this would require, but if it isn't much, I think it's worth a try. If you want mainly active players to vote, maybe you could put the vote page in a not so obvious spot and announce on the forum where you can find it.

I say we wait until April...(hopes to be back ingame by then)...THEN the ingame thing sounds perfect.




Who knows, you might be able to use it to find multies.....

And Wolf, considering that the only reason (other than the wrong people being in the lead) belivable for the locking of the vote was possible cheating (never proven, at that!) it seems that using main would make even less sense.

I say just reopen teh origonal polls and leave them open for the time that was remaining.

That or scrap the whole damn awards system as ruined by an mod over-reaction follwed by mods refusing to pubicly discuss anything while locking and moving to the dump anything that adressed the issue.

The mod team will re-open the awards (or not) when a best method has been discussed and agreed upon. There are various options open - both in-game and in the forum - and there are also various methods to monitor said voting - again whether it is in-game or in the forum.

Read the topic, you'll discover that certain mods overreacted the awards and locked them.

I really think people are overestimating the awards.
