Untrained Mercs what do they do?

For newcomers to ask questions to the other users... this section will usually answer most questions... requesting resources (naq/UUs/ATs) is not to be done here...

Untrained Mercs what do they do?

What do untrained mercs do? I've searched for the answer, but I can't find anything.

There are currently two practical uses:

1. They act as a unlimited "bank" of a sort.

2. They add to your Ascension Power Points should you decide to ascend.

And one non-practical use:

3. They show up on your account as a line item of numbers that might amuse the easily distracted.

I think Robin has given a good account of what there use is, so maybe this should be stickyed ? or atleast someone else could wright something up about Mercs on a whole ? Coz we do have alot of these over the weeks.

they do not give any kind of bonuses besides what robin has said, you are probably thinking the bonus income open uu gives which is uu multiplied by 20

i think they only add to your ascension powers because i bought 500k a couple of minutes ago and they did not change the capacity of my vault and i do not gain more naq/turn and i don't get anything. So most likely they are there "just because" :D :D

We had a sticky. It didn't help.

They are there because Forum never removed them when he changed the game mechanics. Originally, when UU fought, they served the same purpose as attack and defense mercs (only for UU of course...)
They used to serve a purpose. :P
