Wars - The Nox Way...

Wars are devastating on all involved... the economy drops... its a proven fact...

So how come realms are able to replenish troops really easily, well it should be tough

this is where my idea comes in...


You all see Nox insurance & it protects you but at the cost of your income...

why dont the nox demand x% of your TOTAL UP on the various levels of nox...


why you ask?

well I like to envision UP is when a Male Miner & a Female Miner get jiggy...

the more miners the higher your UP can become... (ya get me?)

but during war time... your miners are working harder but the naq is given to nox (generally)
so they dont have enough time to get jiggy... and the Nox being greedy knowing that there insurance is used so much... hey... they want some of your fricken total UP as payment too...


what will this do?

this will stop stalemates in wars (like the current CoP vs CiA war - nobody wants to give in... just turn farming/raiding)

why will this stop stalemates?

well accounts would find it more difficult to recover during wars... everyone on nox (pretty much everyone) will be getting less UU and naq per turn... less people will be able to raid them for UU limiting how long wars can go on for... (as people will run out of resources)

and for accounts that dont have vast quantities of UU to fall back on... well... why are you in a war if you dont have the resources to fight?


So you lose a % of naq and total UP for varying levels of Nox.


This will effect large & small people exactly the same way...

unlike the previous suggestions of killing miners/lifers in which larger army's have a lot more to lose...


So it limits growth during Nox (wars)

You can

a) nox & limit your growth ability to rebuild

b) stay off nox and take it like a man/woman :)

Nox is ment to be a way to help people recover, as it is now it doesn't even really do that because you're able to be hit the very next turn due to the most recent of upgrades.

I would like phasing to keep you phased out one turn so you can at least get 1 turn's income to help rebuild; only problem is people abused it and had friends phase them each turn so no one could hit them the next turn.

Really I think nox should be taken out all together and just leave the time-delay and real alerts as they are.

screw nox....i dont see a point in it except delay atks and such if u want to recover

income reducer is the only "good" use of nox.

Its got to many flaws now as it is.

yes but think of the reason why nox is used...

its pretty much used to reduce income

this reduced income is used pretty much during wars (overnight for some) to stop turn farming being as profitable...

also this stops people being able to do as many hits against your account...


with nox the cost for this is reduced income... why not make it reduced (total UP)

with the current war... all that really is happening right now is turn farming/raiding...

im sure when people realise there isn't much for them to raid because of nox the war will fizzle out and those who are "benefitting" growing from the war (which isn't right in my mind) wont be benefitting and will probably drop out and the war will see it eventually stop or simmer down to the alliances that are pretty much doing the fighting (not turn farming/raiding)

and surely the Nox will realise the amount of people using there insurance has increased dramatically due to large wars and they aren't making a profit... so they have increased the price/tax of the insurance to take a % of the total UU depending on the nox level...

I like it, if you want the protection from massing you should lose a portion of your up, this would work for the majority of people... however it provides an easy out for people who can't defend their up such as in the current war.. the up should be distributed to the people who have you declared at war perhaps as a "peace offering"... its a little silly and makes no sense roleplaying wise but... yeah :-) mabye those who have declared you to peace... but they would be mainly allied...

Rook your posting alot about this war, We in it have no problem with it.

Nox is an income reducer but also it allows you a chance to repair while being massed.

Even the delay you are likely to lose some naq. Without the delay there would be no chance at all for anyone to repair or move their spies etc...

The phasing thing is usefull in that you can rebuild durring the turn if your online.

Those Active in the War know this.

It should not be removed, It does not help those that are offline, but it does benefit those that are online. You can still be hurt very badlly but, at least if your online you have a chance.

I have demolished defences as have COP members etc.. in less than a minute with no problem when they are off Nox.

If you want to change it in a way that those not online lose nox after a while, like you have to resubscibe to it once every 24hours
, I would agree with. That way those not actively playing the game do not sit there reaping the benefits, including all the farms players enjoy raiding of dead accounts.
