honestly, i cant believe why you guys are talking about resetting ascensions server because some guys realised they have been to lazy/inactive in the past 1-2 years and wont be able to catch up now...
Just because some guys are unhappy with their power/rankings ??

in that case we could reset main server as well, and looking at the community we must reset it every 2 weeks.

Its not lazyness its just the imbalance of the ascended server if i would do 4more ascensions biggers then anyone has ever done it wouldnt do stuff for me im still weak there SO WHAT IS YOUR POINT??

If DD ever wars with Omega it will not be pretty, but I assure you we will hold our own quite nicely, thank you. As for me being too lazy, I beg to differ. I spent lots of time and effort playing the game the way it was meant to be played. It is not my fault that a LOT of you chose not to. The fact that an Omega/DD war would open up a myriad of farms for me and a few others should frighten the bejesus out of you and you should hope that we do stay allied in main and ascension. Otherwise, the rich will get richer and the poor will become poorer and then where will you be? Every update that has come out for ascension has benefitted the quick ascenders. There hasn't been one update coming out that benefits those who played ascension well, as it was meant to be played.

I have an idea: since everyone plays main but not everyone plays ascension, let's do this. Let's scrap ascension, as a few people have mentioned already. Get rid of the bonuses and the ascended weaponry and everything else. Ascension accounts are totalled up for the total amount of LF and DMU that was spent on them (for fleets and weapons, and levels in the various stats). The DMU will also be converted into LF and then that total LF will be converted back into APP. That APP will be transferred back into main. The APP can then be converted (at the going rates) into super soldiers, covert operatives, miners, weapons, Naquadah, etc. as the recipient sees fit. Those who have ascended may choose which race they will become again (Asgard, Tauri, Replicator, or Goa'uld). That way, we are all back on one server, on equal footing, with all of the resources that we would have had had we not ascended. That is the fairest way to do it for EVERYONE concerned. Everyone gets a 48 hour PPT to decide how they want to spend their APP in main and build up. Then the farming may commence again.

You cant just get everything back else let me put 100mill UU there first and then when i get back there i want it back too....

Resetting isnt the solution i would like it if it was alittle more balanced and gave other players a chance to catch up i dont know what the latest updates have done for it but i doubt i make 4 huge ascensions to find out.......
People say we only need growth stats higher then the current ones to catch up well isnt that obvious the problem is by the time i did that they already doubled it because there way to big.....
This isnt the fault of the players but maybe admin didnt saw this coming .....

Main scenario:

Mojo has 500mill UU and an UP of 5mill a day

Most people around him have 1mill UU and an UP of 10k a day

No growth limits whatsoever in toher words pointless...

The game allows players in ascension to grow way to fast its really like mojo does a normal ascension ever week over and over again just by his income ......... this makes it useless for other players to try anything

@Hensenshi - no keeping the bonuses would not work. They are part of the entire problem as I see it. Since say charisma is kept then the game is reset and what do we have, the same problem again as soon as someone gets 1 fleet and about a zillion planets from the charisma.

And I can't see anything but problems with trading between ascended back to main. Yes the same alliances may end up on top again, it happens with Q (surprise surprise) but it would allow some of the more interested others to actually play without being crushed for no reason. A reset may result in the same outcome but since people know how important it is to play it now, which they didn't when ascension first came out, I think they're be more interested peoples.

And I can't see anything but problems with trading between ascended back to main. Yes the same alliances may end up on top again, it happens with Q (surprise surprise) but it would allow some of the more interested others to actually play without being crushed for no reason. I think a more accurate statement would be that these people knew how important it is to play ascension and CHOSE TO IGNORE IT. Sorry about your luck. Any of you could have done what I did in ascension had you put your mind to it. Raven_, I am directing this particular statement at you. A while back when I was still growing in main, I bought a crap ton of UU off of you. You were more than happy to sell it to me, and I was more than happy to buy it. Had you kept that UU (and the UU that you probably sold to others as well), you could easily have gotten your main income up to the point that you could have bought a kickin' UP and ascended with a LOT of APP just like I did. In essence, you helped create the "monsters" you are now fighting against. Now, you had the opportunity to do just like I did in ascension and make your account self-sufficient. You merely chose not to. Now you are attempting to punish me and others like me for being smarter and more foresighted than you. I am merely seeking more balance between the two servers. Currently there are too many "one trick ponies" in the game in main, which is NOT how the game was intended to be played. One of the reasons that ascension is a superior server to all the rest (Forum ranks the four servers this way, in terms of skill required to play: Ascension, Chaos, Quantum, Main), is because you can get punished for being a one trick pony there.

Folks, what I am saying is, a lot of you were the beneficiaries of the monies a lot of us threw at you to purchase UU from you. This should have been a warning flag to you that perhaps we knew something that you didn't. But you continued to blithely do it. Now you are trying to alter the game so that your mistakes don't come back to bite you in the butt. "You are coming to a sad realization: cancel or allow?" "Allow"

And again you see it thru your own eyes only you even have any idea why i sold that UU?
Because i bought turn with the naq and raided back more then what i sold easily.....

mojo your suggestion is quite good but we all know that conersions of units into app would let people get too many units easily

if something like that happened then all the app you'd get would be given back to you as NAQ only.
then you may reinvest this into uu's, up spy levels or whatever as you see fit

Mojo is big enough and gets even bigger every day he can still easily afford it + anyone who gets close just anihalate his planets totally then your free of any competition like you like it right.....

The suggestion is reset the ascended server each year (or at some interval) with the amendment being to allow ascensions past Ancient God.

That is it.

Now why would you want to do this?

To bring meaning back to ascension.

That would not be good... I for one have sacrificed a lot to get where I am and i'm not about to give all that up.

Reseting the ascended server would anger many players because, all that hard work they put into their accounts.... Would vanish. Also, all they would need to do is do a couple more big ascension and their ahead....again.

Also, making an exception for "Ancient God" would be horrible. It wouldn't solve anything since they would keep their power before the reset. You would hand over the power to some other player and then, the same problem happens again...

where did it ever sayd AG's would kepp their power. people said full reset of ascended server. I really wouldn't mind that and i have quite a bit of power there imo and i did play it unlike many others ...
I really think that would be a great idea since people would now try to fight for ranks to be able to do a few more ascencions so that they get some extra power there

I am an lg+1. I never had troubles ascending and it took me about 3 minutes after i made my decision to go ascending, 0 friends and 0 begging for resources to reach gr zone from around rank 6k. I became a prior after 1.5 months of playing sgw with 1 mil army (back then in feb 06 that was fairly good, equals around 10 mil army today)

Sorry, I haven't read the entire thread so excuse me if this has been said before. If there was a reset, it would have to be of the physical realm only. Invested AP's and lifeforce should remain or people will feel they have been playing for naught, sacrificed their main accounts for something they thought was permanent.
