I think it's important to realize that none of us really have control over what happens in our life. Ideally we would wish for only good things to happen, but as life is, bad things are bound to happen. It is part of life.
I fear that you might be trying to establish a false sense of security in something that is out of everyone's hands, which might end up doing more harm. I just don't want to see you get all torn up if you don't hear from someone or something does happen. I hope you recognize that posting here is not preventative against certain events.
I think, one of the most important things someone can take away from this thread, is that you care very much about people here. Demon, for your honesty, genuine concern, and selfless view I salute you.
