how do they calculate number of UU in order to ascend?

Im really sorry if this topic has come up before but im new tot he forums and i have only been playing the game for two months.

anyways, how is ascension calculated, as in how do they find the amount of UU required to ascend, and what is the minimum number of UU?

The minimum is based on amount of UP (unit production) you have. A good calculator for that is http://mathcs.wilkes.edu/~spenceim/ascension.html Put in your Unit production and it will tell you how much naq, UU and trained units you must have in order to ascend.

You will also need 1000 glory points if you didn't know already

EDIT: this should also be in the newbie/FAQ section... some mod needs to move it

this is actually easy and is more fun without one of the dozens of sgw calculators floating around

the uu costs for ascension are your UP multiplied by a base of 30 + 5 for every ascension. for example, if you ascend to prior, the uu costs are your UP multiplied by 30, to ascend to prophet is 35, messiah is 40, and so on.

for trained forces costs, its your UP multiplied by a base of 10 + 5 for every ascension. for example, if you are ascending to prior trained costs are your UP multiplied by 10, to prophet its 15, messiah is 20, and so on.

i know there are alot of calculators for ascension, but the one i posted seemed.... efficient, it was everything all in one and there where no bugs that i've found by using it. It's simple, and simple is good.

EDIT: and when you finished multiplying your way, you have to take away 1

Just checking, you said you'd been playing for a couple of months and i thought i would check, when you ascend there are basically 2 main strategies....

1) Ascend with just enough of everything, and have very little left over for your account afterwards
2) Wait and build a big army say 3 mill, then ascend and have 2.6bill army size leftover to get you back to power.

But people vary on how they ascend. Good luck!!! post again if any other problems need answered

UP must be quite high then.... last ascension only cost me something like 300k UU lol i keep my UP down as i know im ascending

But you should also try to get alot of AP for your ascensions as that will help determine your power and building ability on ascension.

Yeah base of 1m army size I would say, and maybe 1m on top of that in units you can throw around once you ascend to buy spies and defense and stuff.

Yeah, next one's incarnate, but that i will do the same and keep all my spare UU, naq, sell my weapons and such, leave the bare minimum behind, living god - i wont
