Better than 'descended' hm?

If you don`t like ascended server, why did you do it in the first place?

You thought that a quick 30% bonus is easy to get didn`t you? You now see that you were wrong.

The server was supposed to be for the elites. Why did you ascended if you now regret it because you didn`t do it properly? A good ascention could anytime put you back on your feet. If you would like to play it, then you can do it and have a good chance to catch up the top 100.

My conclusions:

- if you do not want to play ascention, don`t ascend, or ascend as fast as you can (for the bonuses on main), do one very good ascention and you will not be worried about descention.

- if you already ascended and think that the server suck, don`t play it. You can use your time for other activities. You still get your bonuses on main and if you are descended, then it`s your fault, isn`t it? Don`t ruin other players fun, by flaming on the forums....

- ascention server is the best, because has many features and it`s more realistical than the Main. On every war, there is the chance to destroy a country, a city and objective. Well, in ascended, the objective is the account. If you work on it, there is a chance to defend it against barbarians and invaders (lol), if you don`t, then you deserve to be anihilated. Thank the admin that he didn`t implemented the accounts to be completely destroyed like in other games (or like in real life when a country is invaded, defeated and vanquished from the map). :-D

It'll unbalance the game even more.

Look at it this way... with a reset, the high ranks leave.
With your proposal, the lower ranks leave. All of them.

It's simple... both options are not efficient.

Those players deserve to have 200 mill armys, they are that good. Its not our place to say people cant get good, its stupid, its like you play a game but people take things away when you get abit good at something.

I know... still, that'd be completely in line with everything else going on...

They're good alright... leave them their bonus. The ascension bonus is sufficiently valuable to lose everything over just another ascension. Playing the server, while skill-demanding, is interesting. But when push comes to shove, the bonus is what inspired most people to ascend.

So they spent millions of UUs and trillions of Naq to ascend for the bonus. Not for the server. Since they get to keep the bonuses... they shouldn't get anything back. :-)

As for saying people can't get good... that's what the limits are doing, and that is a completely different debate. Let's discuss that elsewhere.

When it was 'only' the top 100 that could get G + R - you're right, it 'was' only for the elite. I think that's how it should've stayed, as the top 1000, no offense to the other 900, are not really, 'elite'. It doesn't take a whole lot more anymore, to get there 'right' after an ascension, right?

Top 100, would've kept ascension server much smaller, and only to those elite few. It would've kept it regulated. It would've made sure, those who ascended, 'really' wanted to. And if it bit you in the ass, then, well. Heh. Sorry.

Well, there is a option of vac. mdoe on ascension... if you dont like it, do that before someone descends you (too late :-p)

Miha has been descended as a result of the battle!!!
They will certainly ponder this while spending the next long

There's alot of talk about being "fair" to people who have worked hard to get their ascended accounts. This does need to be considered. However, what also must be considered is game balance. Game balance is used too often as propaganda by both sides, but the fact is that it's ESSENTIAL for the continued survival of the community. A system needs to be in place to allow newer players some opportunity to reach the level of older players. It's been done quite well in the main server, with the plague, but it also needs to be done in the ascended server.

well, from reading this thread the main thing that seems to be bothering people is the de-ascension. the fear has been brought into ascension because of it and now people dont wanna lose their lovely bonuses due to deascension. and because the people with the foresight to forsee more relevance for the ascension server put alot of work into their uber ascension accounts now everybody that "ignored" it cos it seemed pointless is ******** a brick.
really and truely the de-ascension update could be removed and ye all could go back to ignoring ascension. but then wheres the fun in that?

The fun is, I don't have time to actively play two MMOs. I know alot of people don't. In addition, the ascended server isn't really very fun. It's dull, and one shouldn't be forced to play a second game in order to enjoy what they've earned in this one.

They are that good, and they deserve 200 million armys. Well, they also deserve the ascended account that they made in place of a 200 million army.
