Perhaps...but thats just plain boring...so perhaps it should be VERY rare...
How about some thing like what happened a while ago, with the Tok'ra helping everyone (the Tauri and Asgard anyways) with covert...but that only affects the clicker?

Also how about on extremely rare occasions you could click on the link and find ancient or other advanced alien technology that has the effect of giving you a small permanent bonus to one of your stats. It would make sense as in a few rare instances SG command was able to adapt alien technology for their own use which give them a small advantage against the enemies of earth.

Why don't we all Put together a sort of petition to forum and deliver it to a mod. Which they could pass it on to forum. All the Nay sayers raising there points and the yay sayers puting across there points. Then forum could way it up and we could have a trial run! I would say we could do it once every threedays!

Another idea is that you could invest a certain amount of naquadah and troops into an expedition which would have an affect on the success of the mission. Logically, the more explorers are dispatched and the better funded they are the greater the likelihood of success. Also there could be a time option on how long your troops are authorized to explore before they must return to base. There could even be tech upgrades that would affect your army's efficiency at exploration. This whole concept could add a great new aspect of play to SGW.

Don't you know that was a glitch in the system, not an actual planned event?Skyflame wrote:How about some thing like what happened a while ago, with the Tok'ra helping everyone (the Tauri and Asgard anyways) with covert...but that only affects the clicker?

Greetings
...Well... an admin pointed me over this way... since ihad a post similar to this, mine was somewhat different though, mainly i think that with each half hour or so in the game a set (an extremely large set) of predefined and constantly updated/modified changes, not so much equalizers but mimicking of things we mgiht see in the stargate universe( our universe) -
-which would provide several sets of possibilitys, one would be tangible like race interactions with sderver run/unseen species/planets ranging from gifts/battles/technology/alliances/future_favors/new_domain/unseen_effects/and_future effects, while others would influence in game politics setting automatic raids upon allies and enemys depending on, automatic server run framing of someone for somehting else, raids automated, rebellion on peoples planets from their untrained perhaps, attempted coups, orbital invasion force like how the gou'old have been oustad by other races who adopted the inhabbitant human slaves while others might include stargate malfunctions and solar fluctuations.~
~These things would also be race dependent with some races having thier own unique possibil interactions while other interactions would be open to everal or all races like say, disease outbreak delays or kills somethihng, gou'old are resistant to most things...
except shockingly the supersoldiers may prove more susceptable since thier symbiots are so strained merely trying to keep thiem alive as is, while others like the asgard might merely be delayed until they could transfer to new clone bodys while whole clone armies might be wiped out leaving only the various drones, other things like a earthquake may lose you loads of banked naquadah or mining or emplacement batterys... even your untrained troops and technology upgrades(although that may not work to well and be dispatched or modified).
Other things might include the option to blockade a planet with your attack force leaving only ur defense forces on ur planet and no attack options till you relanted, perhaps either the daily siege costing naquadah or withdrawel/initiatin blcokade may cost a huge amount to and cause low moral among the untrained affecting naquadah shortage as far as production... even incourageing rebellion in another card along with troop moral for the defense forces.
diplomacy and such like ur ranking/military and alliance influenced upon the effect as well... like if you have tauri an gould or only asgard or a large continuem of replicaters that are regestered on varoius attacks
Thiers plenty more possibilitys for adding to this game... oh yes... and the above options would be automatic and mandatory per turn although a new tab would be added to keep track of wats happening just like ur spy reports and attack reports...
also, most of the actions that would occur would be small useless little things... you know like a sg1 or sg7 raid destroying several small glyders or facilitys or raidin naquadah while others could be like.... you recieve a 2.4 naquadah tribute from an elder in a village... or your mercenarys have been put undre the command such an such general/colonal who has (automaticly) accepted a 5 naq per attack turn to improve chances of raids drasticly. And even something like...
a new traveler has arrived via stargate which could temporarily automaticly improve defense forces and defense spying by 2 to 15 percent or even 43 percent, automaticly, and more so free since the troops would do it on thier own, not by the alert notice ( no one wants to lose thier life to thier boss when its reported they allowed sg1 to walk in and then off planet with a princess or some such)
