5th Race and An Old Race Modifications

Considering the slight notice that races are gaining now, I was thinking that perhaps we could shake things up a bit by introducing a new race/ascended race and changing the benefits of an old one. There are two parts:

PART 1:

Old Race Changed: Replicators/Nanotimasters:
As has been mentioned before, they're REPLIcators. So, they should have a UP bonus and even stats everywhere else. However, because UP is so important, they should get a 10% bonus instead of 15%.

New Race: Free Jaffa
The Free Jaffa are a movement against the Gou'ald. Due to their need to keep a low profile and infiltrate Gou'ald dominated worlds, they would get the covert bonus. Any ideas for weapons/techs are welcome.

New Ascended Race: Tok`ra
Those Free Jaffa that prove themselves are blended with a Tok`ra symbiont. These people refuse to bend to System Lord domination and continue to resist wherever they are. Again, any ideas for weapons/techs are welcome.

PART 2:

Changes in Ascended Bonuses:(as suggested by urogard)
To help differentiate between ascended races, an advanced race could increase a bonus in each field to a 20% bonus, with the race specific bonus being up to a 40% bonus.

Prior: 20% race specific, 3% all other bonuses
Prophet: 22% race specific, 6% all other bonuses
Messiah: 24% race specific, 9% all other bonuses
Incarnate: 26% race specific, 12% all other bonuses
Living God I: 28% race specific, 15% all other bonuses
Living God II: 30% race specific, 16% all other bonuses
Living God III: 34% race specific, 17% all other bonuses
Living God IV: 36% race specific, 18% all other bonuses
Living God V: 38% race specific, 19% all other bonuses
Ancient God: 40% race specific, 20% all other bonuses

The only possible exception would be, if Part one would be implaced, that the UP bonus of the replicators/nanotimasters would not be increased or given to other races. Well, any suggestions? (I'll add a poll later).

Those Free Jaffa that prove themselves are blended with a Tok`ra symbiont. These people refuse to bend to System Lord domination and continue to resist wherever they are. Again, any ideas for weapons/techs are welcome.

One huge problem Jaffa cannot blend with Go'auld(or Tok'ra though it is the same), Tealc says this on many occasions. And as shown in the shown in the show the free jaffa and Tok'ra aren't exactly friends. I dont like the idea caus they are basically the same thing as the go'auld... Seems kind of useless to have another go'auld race just w/ a diff bonus. Also Tok'ra aren't that much a step up from jaffa they are almost at the same level of tech except... the strange voices.

Once ascended you can change race, will bonus change? or will it stay linked to original race. I was tauri but am ancient now.

well if replicators were given up bonus like he suggests this is the perfect race to get covert

overall a good suggestion and it would make game alittle more intersting.

Are you trying to widen the gap between ascended and unascended? 40% race specific plus 30% to everything else, imagine for a moment what my strike could be. Then add in planets. This would make playing the game as unascended impossible.

Hensenshi brings up the biggest flaw I personally saw, which would be the huge gap this would create. Any ideas on how to fix that.

As for the free Jaffa to Tok`ra thing, guess I missed those episodes. I've seen the show, but not really in order, or all of the episodes. However, if medicine can make the Free Jaffa free of symbionts, perhaps it will allow willing Jaffa to blend with symbionts also...

a fifth race would be nice tok'ra as a race would be nice not so sure about part 2 though...

then make it 40% bonus to original stat and 20% to all other stats
all in all it will make the ascended actually slightly weaker than they are now (now=total of 120% bonus, then=total of 100% bonus, at lg+1)

A suggestion though, if this does get considered, is to have first Jaffa Resistance then Free Jaffa Nation as the ascended.

the tollan arent that powerful at all. they are ascended?

also i no jaffa to tokra cant happen but as the show points out asgard to ancient cant happen, neither can tauri to tollan. this idea makes good points and could work well. the %s might need to be tweaked as not to give a massive big boost to those ascended.

Blah, Tau'ri ascend and becomes a Tollan, same as Asgard becoming an Ancient - that is tbh the same crap as Free Jaffa becoming Tok'ra after ascended. It's now more about the fact some of us would actually like to see Tok'ra as actual race in the game, be in advanced race you can only get by ascension. So far, I think Admin does not want to add new races, which would affect current game, but adding few more ASCENDED races, next to current Ancients, Tollans and NanoTimasters would not be bad.

As far as I am concerned, I will always lobby for Tok'ra... have been tok'ra since I came to SGW and I intend to keep it as such.
