the problem with attacking dune members is you don't know how long they have had to build their defence (when they joined, plus a lot have been put of building as by some posts which you all know about, which hints a Dune players being hit.
people still in the war have their strikes, but no defence (to speak about) but some Dune members do not have the defences yet to defend against these strkes.
but what is being said, they can be hit but they must not hit back.
it will not kill anyone to wait a few days, if the cease fire holds Dune will not exist. so np. so all i ask is hold of, don't mess the issues up.
then all of you can farm each other to your hearts content

I'm a little confused by this thread.
I thought the purpose of DUNE was a haven for people who are inactive due to real life issues not some where for warmongers to lick their wounds.
I have always stayed away from dune on the basis that the members are unable to bank? (have been in that position myself a few times).

Yes seems amazing if they all return once this conflict is paused just to be ready for when it may start back up, all fresh and ready.
Either they dont have time or they do. I find this confusing and I feel a bit cheated if it is the case.
This is just a ceasefire, I thought, I am still waiting to see some discussions on ending it.

Seconded... but please note that STI mentioned 'if the ceasefire holds' or something along those lines to suggest that disbanding might be an option if a permanent solution is found between CoP and CIA. If that condition is not met, DUNE won't disband. If that condition *is* met, why argue.
At least, that's how I read it... I may be wrong.

Yes, I read if the "ceasefire holds" hard to see an end in two days when we have been fighting nearly 2 months and no one seems to be discussing options right now.
My opinion is "ceasefire holding" is not equal to "End of War". Right now we seem to have a nice stalemate be interesting to see who breaks it first.

Yeah I wouldn't disband just yet. It must be a miracle that everyone that left their alliance for DUNE due to RL issues all suddenly got better. The war is paused for now, but if isn't gone yet. All it takes is for someone to get mad or bored or impatient and things will be back in to full swing again.

I am just throwing that extra dash of caution on there... I don't want to go through this all again where people rejoin their alliances thinking its ok for them to act like they are active again only to have to turn around, invent a new reason for leaving and have to go again.

Those that left for Dune from DD/D12 will have a hard time getting back in unless it truly was a personal problem they had.
Those that left the war and want to leap right back into DD/D12 after the war were clearly abusing it.
Even when Mojo was massed and lost 23 million UU. He did not bail to go to Dune to keep collecting his naq and so forth. He stayed on DD and went on Vacation Mode until he has time to effectively to watch his main account better.
Most of the people there I know and have talked with plenty of times in the past but anything short of some miracle that happened I really don't see a logical reason to be on Dune and still being able to bank and such.
Especially when their DD/D12 brothers are in mist of a war.
Our slogan is 'We fight together, we die together' - I am sorry but this is how I feel, I would never leave a brother or sister behind.

Had anyone from the Foundation joined Dune, they would not be welcomed back into the Arms of their comrades who were fighting for the right of assembly and freedom of speech.
However, the Foundation understands that individual Alliances have different values and operating practices.
I am also perplexed as to how so many soldiers who surrendered the fight could be considered fit for duty and thus active service at the same time.

Are they that different? There battles have encompassed entire careers and lives within the game, the most bitter and epic of enemies, neither will leave while the other stands... the ultimate climax, will it ever come?
Who knows. One things for sure, the Freedom Fighter is in it for the long haul, its in her head now,
and she must save the world or die trying.

If this was meant as some sort of snide comments on players in Dune, it falls well short.
There is a game outside of the war if you did not realise
To disband after the war would do nothing more than put them in a situation as they are in now (minus no war hits).
people trying to score points & make themselves look big does nothing more than show what they really are. this comment is aimed at no one in particular, but it will be interesting to who can cope with not being in the spot light

I am beyond caring about point scoring.
Many people are genuinely confused by Dune.
We understood that Players went to Dune because of RL issues.
However since you announced that Dune will be disbanded with only 2 days notice, it begs the question how 70 players could be ready to play again at the same time.
