I don't think DUNE should disband just now...
It was present before the war, and it still could have its main purpose. A place to rest for those who have RL issues.

If you want names, here I am. Until July, Ill only have time to go on PPT, bank sometimes 2times a day and moderate this forums all my other free times. So couldn't DUNE just remain as it was before the war?

I agree with Bazsy, the charter of Dune is a great idea.

It would seem a shame to disband now just because there is a ceasefire.

Who knows. One things for sure, the Freedom Fighter is in it for the long haul, its in her head now,
and she must save the world or die trying.

Listen to Robe, she was able to write down my name correctly, which is a very rare special ability in this forum;)

I didn't see anything regarding this subject so I'll ask.

If DUNE members farm neutral alliances, surely we can show those members the same courtesy and farm them? Without getting CoP or CIA or even the DUNE (lol) after us? Cause those members are kind of hiding behind DUNE... farming those outside the war. And us, usually don't have a clue from where DUNE members come from, where they CIA? CoPs? Etc.
There are no men like me. There's only me.

I think if they have time to farm, they should be in DUNE at the first place. Contact STI about this, I think he could help you.

Dune was always going to go away, was told that in the very first place, as for farming depends on what u call farming, mine is like banging in about 80 to 100 hits a turn well thats what i use to do, now i bang in only about 20 in a day

Dune is kind of a place to hide... Cork has 300 bil out with a 220 bil defence about... I'm sure Someone would have taken this were he not in Dune.

Glad to hear your disbanding it. :-)

If this was meant as some sort of snide comments on players in Dune, it falls well short.

I am beyond caring about point scoring.

Many people are genuinely confused by Dune.

We understood that Players went to Dune because of RL issues.

However since you announced that Dune will be disbanded with only 2 days notice, it begs the question how 70 players could be ready to play again at the same time.

If you read the first post, which Entil'zha Jadzia explained to some one else what my post said/meant, which i also confirmed.

Seconded... but please note that STI mentioned 'if the ceasefire holds' or something along those lines to suggest that disbanding might be an option if a permanent solution is found between CoP and CIA. If that condition is not met, DUNE won't disband. If that condition *is* met, why argue. Smile

I think I also said why it would be differant if the war was ended for these players in the post you quoted,

But the trick is to read both of my posts to understand, Sue, I think some sleep might help :D or a good massage  or both

If Dune is truly over then... sigh...

I would like to thank STI and Reborn for working so hard to ensure those members that joined did not breach the charter of Dune,
which was to provide a neutral sanctuary.

If you are referring to the movie, I'll pass.

The books kicked butt though.

Only the first couple of books were very good. Later one it went a bit sucky. The original movie was quite good to watch considering it 's production year (1984).
