Planet page error

8 out of 10 times i open the planets page, i get a pop up saying there has been an error and firefox must close. this has happened about 10 times already, 3 times in a row about a week ago 2 or 3 times in a row half a week ago and 2 times in a row just today....

whenever i open the planets page it shows the error window.... it makes it very hard to use large sums of naq to buy planet def if i have to keep re-logging in all the time because firefox closes.

(searched but couldnt find it)
*steps to replicate the bug* open the planets page........... :?

please tell if im the only one with this problem :-)

it seems to ONLY happen if i have a large sum of naq out.... anywhere from 6bil to 60bil i get the error multiple times.... but very rarely if any with little to no naq out.....

it might be a problem with your version of firefox. I am using 2.0.0.3 and I don;t have that problem.

It sounds like something that used to happen to me when I watched a video on Youtube or something.

Suggestions:
- try upgrading firefox
- stopping as many of the background applications(java, only have one tab/window open, messenger services, etc.) that you can and try it again

I am no expert but you can give that a try

i guess i can try IE. and the error doesnt happen all the time.... it would take a lot of clicking on planets page to test it, but thanks for the tips.

ill edit this post if i have any trouble with upgrading ff or IE but i think my FF is already latest version

You could also try uninstall-reinstall firefox. Possible some files not taken in an update are corrupted. I tried again with my planet page and I didn't see anything, but that was a few clicks.

It's a pain in the butt, but might help.

ill try that as this bug is so annoying.

i just had 6bil naq out in the open, i go to add def to a planet i have and what do i get???? AN ERROR THAT CLOSES OUT FIREFOX!!!!!!!!! :( but after re opening firefox i could add the def just fine with no errors (a bit slow... but other than that....)

well to replicate the bug all i had to do was this:

farm a bit until i had 1.7bil naq out, go to base, then click on planet summary, then wait for this error message (which doesnt take long to appear)

firefox has cause an error in <unknown>
firefox must now close (or something like that)

i went to tools and options or whatever and i deleted all cookies i had, still makes the error

This doesn't seem to be happening to anyone else so it can't be anything on this end or else it would be happening to everyone or alot more.

I take it you update firefox? Then you can try a full uninstall of it with program folder deletion, and extra steps to take out the hidden files. I can;t talk you thought that. I would suggest asking here too: http://forums.mozillazine.org/

and see what could be the problem. I don't farm so I can't test it out.

Was IE 6/7 working fine?
