a number of accounts were banned due to this bug abuse.
the logs show a) clearly when the bug was abused.
the logs show b) clearly where the goods gained were going.
c) all accounts using same IPs (or most often the exact list of multiple IPs are the same) as the cheating accounts banned either as cheaters too, or multies.
where there was a clear case of a) or sufficiently out of whack b) or obvious c)-- the accounts were banned.
anyone, banned, who thinks they were unfairly banned, can email mailto:admin@stargatewars.com and have their account looked over again. Please provide as much detail as to why you believe you were targted in this sweep of this bug abuse.
anyone who paid real $$ to this/these players we recommend you reverse payment as the goods were obtained via cheating and not theirs to sell.... we can deal with the game account details via email.
i hate doing cleanup like this - but the first priority is to stop the bug/then stop the players obviously hurting the game with their actions, then lastly to 'cleanup' the aftermath, including looking at exceptions.
as for Henshu (http://herebegames.com/StarGateWars/vie ... hp?t=75926) -- threatening for you and your friends to 'do it again' and then claiming your friends had nothing to do with it, all at the same time, does not make sense. in fact makes them look even guiltier. but - like said above, their accounts will be looked at.
because i will be doing these checks myself, since i solved/banned myself, it may take a few days. but in the meantime, accounts are untouchable.

Now I have a speech for the wednesday meeting:P
I will think it over, but I think its time to prevent these things (ppl are bragging how "wise" they are, cause they can exploit, cheat, etc without notice). Prevntion could be dont by setting some hard examples, which will burn into the mind of many.
Also that goes for the forums current state too...
Time to change the way things are heading at....

i say this too: if you get caught: you and ALL YOUR FRIENDS (ie anyone that ever logged in to the game from an address you also logged in from) are banned.
i say this: if it involves real $$ -- i also go to the police/authorities/paypal/etc.
short version: dont do it. i will ensure you are identified as an internet personae that gets labelled as a theif.
now - all those that are actively attacking our site - stop. else i start.

Jason if there r getting funny just add in and say what about gambling, they have virtual sites on that r they saying they wont pay out on that aswell? u can even go to say with plane tickets thats vitual until its recieved, and with a game like this this goods were not recieved
Tbh they can cut themselfs out of a lot of bussiness if they go down that route because it wont just affect u it will affect every game out there which is thousands of games
