You may say that as a joke but you know what you have a good point
but I wonder what ebay and paypal would do if a disupte took place, would they still bang on to
"virtual goods" somehow I bet until it goes wrong nothing would stop it, but when it does go wrong, that clause will hit you like a wet fish accross the face
basically I dont think it would work, good idea but a thumbs down from me
so dose this mean sellers should list selling naq and uu on ebay?

I remember someone actually doing this with uu's and naq a few months ago...lol. At first it got a decent few bids, but then slowly interest in the method of selling dwindled.

I don't play MMORPG, but i did some searching.
Selling in-game goods for cash is against the terms of service for most games.
Probably because of this issue, when people can start making money from a game, suddenly cheating becomes economically beneficial.
Let me ask you this though, if you were to spend $500 dollars on an account, and forum suddenly shut off the game tomorrow, would you sue forum?

You can't stop the selling of in-game profits for £/$ or what ever currency a country uses.
People will make their own forums, and advertise on MSN.
Or advertise in-game. (Planets, messages etc)
Yes, I realize it will never actually stop. You can't police every forum, or every MSN name. What you can do is make it so that your not liable and just wash your hands of the whole affair. Start banning accounts that are selling for real money when you find them.
The reason being, it sounds like this whole problem is a lot more stressful for forum because he is trying to get paypal to refund the lost money due to buying illegal UU. He shouldn't have to deal with it. Paypal makes it clear that if you buy virtual goods, your assed out if the deal is bad.
Like I said though, how long until someone decides to go after forum, or sue the game itself.
Rather then create these complications, it would be better to turn this back into a "game" rather then someones piggy bank.
Get back to working on the game, rather then spending time chasing people that are ripping off real world money.

Shinobi isn't saying that it will stop, just to a point where Forum can no longer be liable for crap when stuff goes wrong. Right now he follows a 'no action' policy, allowing people to sell goods on the forum for money. If he was to make that stop, while it wouldn't truly stop, it could help prevent cases like this from happening and him being forcefully involved.
And yes, there is an ingame market for $. That is fine, nobody is arguing about that.

preventing $ sales on forums was tried once... it failed miserably... it is too much work for the mods to prevent it...
