Sasuke isn't a match for Itachi, he's far stronger.

Based on the battles ive seen the two of them fight, the Current Sasuke could take on the previous Itachi without invokeing the cused seal.

However we havent seen itachi battle at full stregnth yet, so we'll just have to wait for the clash of the titans.

hmm Itashi's mastery of the Sharingan seems to be stronger

but Sasuke was able to master the fireball technique at a much younger age than Itachi so it would make for an interesting battle

also Sasuke kills Orichimaru doesn't he? Yet Itashi didn't when he tried to take his body

yes, sasuke kills orochimaru.

As for the sharingan, the special sharingan that itachi has(cant remember the name) allows him to take him and his target into another demension(kinda...), where itachi controls everything. includeing time.

Sasuke did this to naruto, when naruto tried to go kyuubi in the fist shupouden ep. without super sharingan itachi has.
