In real life, when you buy something like a car, you must periodically invest in repairs and routine maintenance. Whether or not you actually use the car, you still have to change the oil, filters, wipers, etc. I'm thinking of either a daily/weekly miscellaneous repair charge for your offensive and defensive equipment. Nothing to grand, just if someone were to not repair for a long while, the equipment would just "rust" away.
Any thoughts?
Poll: Should there be a daily maintenance / repair charge?

Unnecessary micro-management. Besides which, weapons are designed to survive combat conditions for prolonged periods of time. They are not likely to degrade significantly.

While I voted no, perhaps you could do something like this for a prolonged vac moded account, again nothing huge just a small nominal amount to show that you have been away from managing your realm for a period of time.
And it really should be a small amount like 1% of your total bank size or something like that

The idea is rendered pointless when you consider that sucha fee would be taken, and ultimately forgotten about. It'd be similar to NOT using the banner advert bonus. It'd make little difference, and would have no substantial reason for existing to begin with.

the mainainance cost of weapons is in the way where attackers always have to repair weapons, even when they are used on a zero-def account...

agree with thst + if an account is on vac mode, it is near a black hole, and time stops completely for him, so teh weapons wouldn´t rost away .... also, aren´t the Units always equipped with the weps? so why would i rust away? it would rust away if you put it away some where unsavely or so.. but the units are actually equppied with the weps all the time, they just don´t shoot with them :p
