Hmmm I have one or two :)

I have ITP - Idiopathic Thrombocytopenic Purpura (and yes I can say that :-D ) its a rare blood disorder where my body see's my platelets (cells responsible for clotting/stop me from bleeding) as a foreign infection. And thus my body kills my platelets.. Normal levels are between 150 and 350, my last test result was 113, 2 months ago they where 64, if they drop below 40, I have to go into hospital, if they drop below 10 I can suffer from internal bleeding and my spleen can rupture.. I was told to play no contact sports as a teenager and when I was first diagnosed with it when I was 13, I had been sick for 7 weeks, constantly throwing up. I went from 9.5 stone to just over 4 stone. I was even throwing up on a drip. They thought I had lukemia at the time. It was not a nice time for me and I had to at one stage get 6 blood tests a day everyday for 3 months becuase my platelets levels dropped to 13 and wouldn't go above 20. The worst thing is I can't even get a transfusion in blood becuase the levels can change in hours.. So one hour they might read 150 and the next it might say 60..

At the moment I have to get a blood test taken once a month or unless I feel really weak or tired.. I can never donate blood either.. :( Becuase it might be passed on to someone else. If I ever have kids they might be heamaphealics (sp) but the chances are low. They also don't know what causes the disease

Its also a major concern if I ever need surgery becuase, the bleeding never stops.. Even when I shave, and I cut myself it bleeds all day.

My second bottom rib sticks out of my body by 5 mm it's nothing serious but when my mum was pregnant one of the ribs grew faster then the other one and as a result the other rib grew on the outside of it.. So I have it sticking out on both sides inside and outside my body :-D

I have an irregular heartbeat.. Nothing too serious, but I am missing every fourth beat.. So when your heart goes thump thump. thump thump, mine goes thump thump, thump ......., thump etc...

Thats it I think.. :-D :-D

But its like if I get a nasty cut or bruise, the bleeding takes ages and ages to stop, so if I got a major cut I would bleed to death in quicker time than normal people.

It's stopped me playing alot of contact sports and stuff, but it will never effect my SGW unless I cut myself on the return key or something!

I think you have what I have :-D

EDIT: I just remembered I had a spot on my arm once so I was scratching it becuase it was as itchy as hell anyway I was in a shopping centre and all of a sudden I could feel my hand was soaking wet.. So I looked down and there was blood all down my hand then I went to check where the blood was coming from and as I twisted my arm and all of a sudden it started spurting out. (like those zombie movies when they get their arm cut off and the blood is gushing out) It was scary as hell... Cos i had to run to the bathroom with blood spewing out of my arm..

Pic will follow :-D

The pic I took on my phone I had at the time

LOL yes it seems we have the same or similar. Yuors seems much more serious than mine though, I only get blood tests every 3 months now and its never made me physically sick. I guess I have a weaker version of what you have.

It would be interesting though if we were in a fight, it would be determined by who can keep the most blood!!! :P

Darth Optimus wrote:Well I do. I have Celiac Disease. I can't eat Wheat, Rye, Oats or Barley. I am on a Gluten Free Diet. I was diagnosed with it a age 2. It is Hereditary I have gotten it on my dads side of the family. My uncle had it but he out grew it. It was because of that I had to stay in the hospital for 31 days. A nurse gave me a piece of toast and my small Intestines twisted. Since that day I have a 6 inch scar starting from my belly button and extending on my right side. Because of me having this I have been diagnosed with Osteoporosis and various vitamin deficiencies.

Growing up with this was difficult. With me having this there goes about 85% of the foods in grocery stores that I can't eat. When I was little my sister gave me some of her pretzel and I barfed all over my shirt. I was the only kid in my Elementary School with this. When I was in High School I told NOBODY of my condition not even my friends. I did'nt want anybody to take pity on me. The only people who knew I had this was my Doctors and my family of course. One out of 133 people in the United States is affected with Celiac Disease. As log as I stick to my diet I can lead a normal life. Which I do. I work a regular job and have fun with friends.

hey can you eat peanut butter at all ?

that is my joy in all of life curious if thats off list 2?

I got severe gastritis... if I don't stay on my meds it's like I have severe heart-burn all the time. If don't stay on the meds it'll also likely cause me to develop throat cancer. Turns out my cause is a genetic problem inherited from my mother's side of the family. My grandfather had throat cancer that they attributed to smoking at the time, but now we know otherwise.

Other than that, i'm fit as a fiddle :D

I have a dermal lipoma, which is a tumour attached to the back of my eye (great fun at parties), but it doens't interfere with me being able to see. Doctors say there's more danger in trying to get rid of it, than keeping it. I am also unhealthily bendy (call it double jointed if you want) e.g. can lick own elbow. Plus, the boring norms - asthma + hayfever.

I'll post pictures of the lipoma if you want  .

wow that sux guys.

i dont really have anything. only something with my spine.

theres a tiny curve in my spine that makes one side of my body abnoramlly bigger then the other and my right ribs grow fast and are like almost half an inch higher then the left. and it screwed up my feet and stuff, they curve inward when i stand.

and a pinched nerve in my arm that doesnt seem to want to heal.

but i dont have anything thatll kill me, couple of my freinds do/did.

my freind colin had bone cancer, my freind ryley has a 5 chambered heart, wich means her heart can stop any moment and she can die.

and for those of u hat have seen school of rock, the little geeky boy that does the lighting for the bands shows, i no him and he just got over stomach cancer.

when I was 16 years, some one screwed one of my knees during a soccer match (he played with irons on his shoes, and planted them in my knee instead on the ground) and since then I'm walking with plastic and metal in my knee
being normal is also overrated, you must have faith in who you are
