What has this game become .....

I got an idea and I do not know if it has been discused before but I would like a mod's permision to post it. Since i do not want it to be locked right away. It involves no bashing towards certain ppl and it revolves around the game istelf as a whole.

I got permission from a mod and will post please no bashing if this has been posted before. I just feel like I need to say it.


SGW as a whole .... were has the honor gone ... where has all those great players of the SGW community gone? Ones that used to help others without wanting something in return ..... Ill tell you most of them quit for the lack of all that lack of honour lack of fun lack of Community that it once held ..... It saddens me ... My account might be new to the forums but i still remember when the game was good ..... now its just like any other MMO that gets curropt over time ..... there will have to be some kind of massive over haul if my veiws are going to change ....

SGW .... its lost its initial intention .... its gone from a game where anyone can have fun and try to get to the top, to a small handfull of power mongers stoping players who try to advance further than themsleves ...... only to keep a grasp of what little power they have.

Even with all the handfulls of ppl out there who want to make the game a better place for all there will always be those that want to be the top ones those that threaten and mass players smaller then themselves just cause they stand up against them, cause they try to surpass them ..... all games are like that ... but this is the first one that ive played with so much in it ..... It saddens me .... to see how this game has become.

I might be repeating myself and I am sorry if I did so. But I belive in my views of how this game once was and how it should be once again. The only reason as to why I have yet to quit is that I still hold hope for this game. I do not wish to see it crumble like so many great games before it......

I (along with others) place a majority of the blame on planets, and tons of turns. Heck, I really stopped playing as much once the ingame market was added. The game is faster than it was, and has more action in it, but it also has given more power to players to harm one another than ever before. Plus, as the game as grown in players it is not possible anymore to know everyone who plays. The other players seem more like tools to accomplish goals rather than friends. Back when turns were rare it took a large number of players to mass someone, so the targets were picked with care and expensive. It took time to gather the turns, so that emotion would have less of a chance of taking over since you have to actually plan the attack. Every attack did damage so the big players had to play nice so a bunch of noobs would not mass them

Its all down to the players themsleves rather than the updates. You got in exactly right people are too worried about being number one, keeping power.

Those days are gone unfortunately..... but it does not mean that the game cannot compansate for it that the community has to be in tatters as it is now. Humans are the most adaptible creatures. We have over come far worse problems than this, but we are also a race that hates change. This game if it continues how it is going now will only lead to chaos and destruction. I care far tomuch for it to let that happen. To let this game fall in a heap like a great many before it. I wish to make a change. Even if that takes time and patience I will either see my ideas die or thrive and spread to many others.

Indeed, game is fine. IMO could be better if raiding was taken out, but nevertheless its still fine.

Its the people who ruin it, to many sarcastic asssholes who all think they are funny.

No matter what game you play the powerful will always be that way becuase its called status quo...

This is an old topic used over and over again (prehaps even by me ) You will learn the longer you play that in order to become powerful you have to play long and hard.. Make friends...

Nobody and I mean NOBODY can play this game solo.. You will not get anywhere without support from friends..

I made this topic to see what those thought on the topic ... and i see that it has not gone the way that I was hoping for. I want to help bring the community back to gather to help stop those ppl that make it so terrible for small players. Those that have no sense of honour left, that attack others even if they have standing treaties and such. The lack of what this game once was and what it has become .... Im not talking about rank or power. Im talking about the way ppl act and how the game has changed because of it.

In reality, there is not conspiracy to keep everyone else down.

The reality is that the caps allow new players to compete with old ones.

No one got a large army with 20min a day for 3 weeks. Unless it was their CC.

Getting a large army takes a ton of work, lots of raiding or farming or trading.

Many now just build a large defence and sit thinking their income will do it.

If new players work the 18months that those before them did, they will find they get there much faster and higher than those that have went before them.

The game is fine. I mean sure, there are some annoying people in this community, but every community has some of those.

We'll just have to learn to live with them(or ignore them) and not take this game too seriously.
These people - seek attention. Don't give them what they want.
