Given there're about 7k active players... maybe they won't react until the poll has 1k votes.
let alone actually change it.
My idea, however, is good in that if many people don't like the asuran idea, they can still set it to display NanoTiMaster. (see page 6 if you haven't read my idea)

a little off topic but is it true that if your ascended and you change your race that you keep all stats except for the weapons, and the naq from those being sold goes to your bank?
i dont really care about nanoTImaster but ill try them out in a week, still like asuran better though.
has admin seen this or talked about this in the chat rooms? i cant go i get a error and dont know what time to go anyway

So let replicators choose between "Human Form Replicator" and "Replicator", have Tauri choosing between "Tau'ri" and "Human", and then ascended replicators as "NanoTiMaster" and "Asuran", so while it'd make no difference it allows them to choose what race shows up on the screen.
But if it's one way or the other, I vote for Asurans.
(I think we need a better ascended race than Tollan, they should be a DESCENDED race)
All of that is a stupid idea for so many reasons.
I think they should change it to Asuran, because it just makes sense.
But for having a choice between races would just make the game too complicated unless it was JUST for NanoTiMasters having the choice. And that would be kinda unfair on the other ascended races.
(Though I DO agree with the bit about the Tollan being unascended agsards, that makes sense, as does Ancients being ascended Humans)

The Normalcy Bias
The normalcy bias refers to an extreme mental state people enter when facing a disaster. It causes people to underestimate both the possibility of a disaster occurring and its possible effects. This often results in situations where people fail to adequately prepare for a disaster, and on a larger scale, the failure of the government to include the populace in its disaster preparations. The assumption that is made in the case of the normalcy bias is that since a disaster never has occurred that it never will occur. It also results in the inability of people to cope with a disaster once it occurs. People with a normalcy bias have difficulties reacting to something they have not experienced before. People also tend to interpret warnings in the most optimistic way possible, seizing on any ambiguities to infer a less serious situation.

Re: Replicator New Ascended Name
one of the ways you can try to get this done is by saying it to admin many times during meeting(s)...

"Great holy armies shall be gathered and trained to fight all who embrace evil. In the name of the gods, Browsers shall be changed to carry the internet out amongst the peoples and we will spread Firefox to all the unbelievers. The power of the Firefox will be felt far and wide and the wicked users of IE shall be converted to use the true browsers."

Re: Replicator New Ascended Name
I like "Asuran"
But if you really want to show those that are Ascended...
Why not make the title "Ascended" in small print, and let everyone CHOOSE their Race/Name/whatever (I mean.. if you're ascended.. you could look like a fish if you wanted too.)
So instead of <Race Name here>
have: Ascended <Player Choice>

Re: Replicator New Ascended Name
the problem with that would be that too many races would appear...

I don't think it will happen just cause things sound better. Loads of people think legos and snakes sound better, and they aren't going to be changed.
