The democrats here (MAYBE contrary to other ones in world, said maybe as I dont really know) have a really different program than ANY other party. We feel future, changing, equality, better world etc in their arguments.
Capitalists have some blahblah, and in what they say, strangely  , what good they say doesnt come in and what bad they say comes in place   ...Most of pros are never applied and the cons are masked, minimized in the program compared to what comes in place.
Socialists are good, but they have not really "new millenium" stuff, like capitalists, who are blocked in present lol

So best ones are democrats, then comes socialist if you are not a millionaire, and if you are one go for capitalists, they will get you more rich...maybe...

And of course, I find the exact opposite to be true when I listen to our socialists. :)

Granted... that was Hillary
So we can hardly claim it as a barometer... but once we move past the basic rhetoric that is inescapable with politicians - I still find the conservative to plot a far better course.

LOOOOOL
At least it wasn't broken record:
Profits...Terrorism...Al Quaeda...We believe in god (NOT that it's a prob, but religion shouldnt enter in political stuff, it's private thing, and in a democracy, being manipulated by baptists, and other conservatives who encourage the WWASP programs [ask me what it is i'll tell ya :p], isnt right thing to do isnt it?)...Oil...Rogue countries...Lower taxes on billionaire people...*starts again*

Yeah Bush stuff is what capitalists and christian fondamentalists love to hear!

More like, simpering appeasment laced with some hypocrisy.
E.g. what you see in the conservative/capitalist rhetoric

Not to say that the 'Christian fundamentalist' position doesn't have it's extremes, KKK etc.... but aside from those normal fringe elements, and problems of humanity, I fail to see some evil maliciousness in my Baptist neighbors, Episcopal grocers, and Presbyterian community leaders.

We feel future, changing, equality, better world etc in their arguments.

I tend to find that an unfortunate excuse to repeat the failures of the past.
I'm not saying that those are not vallid goals, but if you are using them as a ruse to pursue something that has already failed - read dictatorship, read socialism, read Outopia, etc. then I have no patience for it.

:smt043 this sentence is the best proof that you have no clue about economy whatsoever.
billionaires in fact pay NO taxes (or very low if any). billionaires GET PAID by the GOVERNMENT for their participation in SOCIAL PROGRAMS (they particularly like "social housing" schemes and big infrastructure projects)

Shhhhhh... Corran.
Haliburton was an example of Bush/Cheney exploiting government - not socialist-monopolies in general. :P

I was being sarcastic. :)
... and yes, it is absolutely true.

Unless you can show me why I would expect a socialist government, to be any more thrifty than a bloated capitalist government - I fail to see why stepping up government is the answer.
A private business is interested in churning a profit and keeping a positive balance - something a government does not have to worry about, leading to wild, pointless spending to earn votes for the politicians.

At that point 'helping the poor' or ‘border security’ become ways to get tax-deductions and votes, rather than things to solve. Charge a private company with sealing the border, give it some competition - and the result will be a great deal more effective than a government agency burdened by back-seat legislators looking for political kick-back.

--------------------

Hmmm... that was unusually partisan. My Apologies. <_<

I said FONDAMENTALISM not the religious autorities, or if you mean them, they force whole country to biased point of living/view...laicity is way better: we dont force you to be a religion, you can choose by yourself.
Sometimes when I compare USA and France I fail to see modernism in USA in some things...I see same stuff that before 1904 in France when laicity came, yep like 103 years ago
USA led by weapons, fundamentalism and 40%abstensionism to elections, TIME TO GET CLINTON OR OBAMA HERE BEFORE IT GETS WORSE...
Oh wait twas Bush who REMOVED what Clinton did to minimize guns market in USA who caused a drama few weeks ago in a campus, how much innocent people died already? 37? 33? THANK BUSH AND NEOCONS FOR THAT :@@@ :x

Oh forgot to mention WWASP in my list :sge

I hope that Obama wins :P. I am a liberal, but not really a democrat. I only agree with abortions before there is brain wave activity. I am sick of the religious speeches of the republicans. I think that prisons should not be a fun place to be. Prisoners should work so it is not such a drain on the economy. I am against the death penalty, but do not agree with having hotel prisons either.

I fail to see this. To be sure, I do occasionally get a little flustered when mormons, or wittness' interupt my dinner and I have to scramble for shoes... but that hardly constitutes 'force'.

Led by weapons? Led by fundamentalism?
If that were true, then the only way Hillary and Obama could be running for office, is if they were mastermind manipulators. The fact that they are running, and getting such support, is the best evidence against them and their cries of doomsday radical convsrvitive brainwashing.
:)

I'm not sure how much about those laws you know, but the ones that were not renewed would have made no difference in the VT case even had congress re-passed them.
And I, for one was eagerly waiting for those laws to expire (not be 'removed').
My posts in the VT thread should adequately sum up my reasons for that opinion.

Erm... World Wide Association of Specialty Programs?
I'm curious. :)

I was eagerly watching his campaign... trying to learn more about him.
Watched him on C-Span a number of times however, and will still be going republican.

It was only natural... But you're correct, we have gotten somewhat off-topic.

So....returning to economic systems. Any further politcal commentary will be split along with the posts pertaining :)
