Suggestion instead of ppt after downtimes

Would it be possible to put people on critical alert/nox or both after a server downtime? i agree that ppt is a bit drastic but for a lot of people that might need to bank etc and turn income down before bed (like me now) it would really be useful.....

I'd prefer just a PPT, but maybe make it a little shorter.

well the idea was for the times admin deems it unnecessary to give out a ppt (downtime < 6 hours i believe). doesnt sound like much but that is still a rather large window for not being able to log in. some other alternative is definitely required if a ppt/short ppt is not given

also, think of those planning to ascend...

they have 990 glory when they log off...
they attempt to log on last time in evening before going to sleep, and hope to ascend and have ppt during the night, but game is down...
just after going to sleep, the game is fixed... and all get nox and such...
when they wake up, they have only got 940-950 glory... how annoyed would you have been if that had been you?

regarding ppt, i will take your word for it. hehe. only suggested this because admin does not seem to want, and certain players do not seem to want ppt handed out when these shorter downtimes happen. that is totally fine and i can understand the reasons behind it but this is just an idea i threw out because i think this is an issue that needs to be addressed. not necessarily just for me, but that less than 6 hours downtime and no ppt/protection at all is not entirely adequate when people have schedules etc to conform to

ascension thing, totally agreed but it doesnt have to include nox surely? as i mentioned this is just an initial idea i came up with - could surely be possible to implement the use of realm alert and/or nox after a downtime depending on user preferences?

those not wanting ppt will just have to suffer... anyways, when they get a free one, they are unlikely to complain... and if they do, then it is just for the complaining... the majority of the players have nothing against ppt... and the coding of that just for some very few is unlikely to happen...
