Friends, alliance, nothing else to do.

Cause it's a way to relax and sometimes talk to good people over the internet that don't know you in real life. Sometimes, IMHO, that can be good for ya. I also enjoy building things up and having some goals in a game like this. Plus creating my own character, making friends and enemies.

when i was gonna quit he made me stay

after that hmmmmm

i started raiding and grew really really quickly
1mill to 10 in the space of a month ish
and then 10-20 in another

and then came the war, and i got bored

then i had other friends summon me to the crazyest and bestest alliance ever lol

I wonder what having no life means btw? Not having work or real life friends? Not practicing sport?

Why do i still play?

The community. Irc has proven that the different groups, factions and alliances can come together and become close friends. While it is a stargatewars irc, stargatewars isn't often the topic of discussion and instead you get to know the person behind the player. Forums have a lot of player to player banter, but its the irc person to person daily conversations that i enjoy and look forwards to.

Playing stargatewars is just my excuse to stick around and enjoy it

I still play because i enjoy talking to all the people i meet. In some ways you could say its 60% chatting, 40% actually playing, for me anyway.
For example i was chatting to 2 players for 3 hours straight last night trying to resolve an issue. Got it sorted in the end, but it required a lot of talking to do it

If i hadn't of met some of my really close friends now all those many months ago, i suppose i would have stopped playing, if those same friends stop playing i would consider leaving. Until that time comes though, ill keep playing and having fun
