Ascension is the most balanced server in the game. It is the only server where you absolutely have to be powerful in all stats of the game to be successful. You cannot sacrifice one stat or concentrate in just one area because you can get messed up really easily if you do.

Now as I have said before and I will suggest it again, I am all for being able to transfer ascension resources to the main accounts for the price of NOT being able to ascend again EVER. I will gladly make myself a little more vulnerable in ascension to gain back a little power in main. It would actually let me do SOMETHING with my ascension account because currently I can do nothing with it.

Now, 1 trillion DMU converted to LF and then converted into APP would be a little over 3 million APP which converts to 18 trillion Naquadah. So I would be fine with that (even though I would LOVE to be able to convert the APP into units as well but Naquadah seems to be the only acceptable medium for everyone involved).

Here is my suggestion: 1.) in order to participate in this plan, you forgo any further ascension attempts you may have (or may gain in the future).
2.) in the Cosmic Trade Screen, you will still be able to convert DMU into LF, but there will then be another key where you can convert LF into APP to transfer back to your main account.
3.) there is an exchange rate penalty if your ascension account size is smaller than your main account. Basically, the amount of APP converted into Naquadah is multiplied by your army size in ascension/army size in main (if ascension is less than main; sorry guys, no INCREASES are available if you are smaller in main than in ascension).
4.) This Naquadah can only be used by the account that it is transferred to. It will not be a cheap way to give or get resources for non-ascended accounts or accounts that have not completed all of their ascensions. People can still attack you for the Naquadah and might even succeed in stealing it but will be unable to use it as it vaporizes into the ethereal mist.

I believe this will fuel the ascension server and the ascension process on main. People will want to ascend now to be able to eventually transfer their resources back to main. And it is available to everyone. It's just that some people who ascended well have an advantage over the quick ascenders. And it is not overbalancing, as it doesn't give an overwhelming advantage in main.

that sure is true, no real point in even trying as i've found out even though my boyfriend was in Omega untill he left due to RL probs, not sure if i got raided to hell because hes not rejoined yet but hes just helping a mate 1st but after this we're both thinking of quiting as theres no real point to the game as ascended is just one big waste of time

ok i didnt read it all too much but anyways so you say 1 LF to 18 naq .. quite frankly sounds fair as little players need to be able to do it too but make a cap = up to only say 500bil PER WEEK therefore yes the giants can add a considerable but not life changing addition to their main accounts and yes over time nothing but extra cash in RL if they so desire but it lets everyone be able to do it without letting the giants abuse it.

just my 2 cents and lets face it an extra 500bil a week in main is seen as good in anyones eyes with the caps in place.

I think ascention is not balanced at all. The original idea is a good one and if it had been played as intended it would be, but the introduction of alliances and the fact the game was ingnored by admin for over 2 yrs sealed its fate. I still do not understand the concept of wanting people to play a server but making it where the can be completely forced out of the server by other players and never be allowed to play it. It makes no sense. I think the caps and rank modifiers are total crap as well.

I tend to agree with that although I ascended later but it was still a year or so before anything happened in ascension coding. Yes people who didn't play do need to bear some responsibility for not playing but neglecting a game also doesn't encourage people to actually play.

I don't see how this suggestion does anything for ascension let alone main except re-inforce the imbalance.

For those saying Maddonna should have built defence... perhaps Oldman should have because if the defence wasn't adequate when he - Maddona - got the account then isn't something wrong there? How did he - Oldman - manage to build an account that was so under defended?

Possibly income planets should be unraidable but that's been suggested lots as well but it does seem to be one of the suggestions that causes less angst.

Yes and that's part of the problem Chargin, at the moment all the 'allies' can spend time ganging up on everyone else who is trying to grow, hence they can never grow past a particular point. Please tell me if I'm wrong or if I am wrong then what could have maddonna done that didn't result in him being raided to hell and back? Build defence? That's a never ending cycle - build defence, build strike, build defence, build strike.... etc.
