who would of you chosen in the last sg1 episode?

i am really mad how they kept teal'c to be old i would rather have that new guy who is the pilot to of stayed old as i never really knew him. teal'c would have been way better staying young as he is the only goauld on sg1 that pilot is a dime a dozen.

if you could have chosen someone else to stay old who would it be and why?

I thought teal'c was on ok choice, granted i would have just left a note on a rock in the little time bubble. And left the bubble in front of where carter is in the past. Back to t man, as far as i can tell his life span is almost double a humans...which would mean he's only a little more than middle age our years.

And he isn't a goauld, he is a jaffa using on the drug.

What I don't get is why Carter couldn't have just put a bubble around the Ori ship and made time for them slow way down, that way the beam would move really slow and the Odyssey could escape after disconnecting the Asgard Core.

But yes, Teal'C is the best choice because even at 160 or however old he was, he can still fight, while the rest of the team would have to carry around an oxygen tank when they went offworld

I'll miss it, but the movies will be out soon.

On note, when they make the movies, you think they will make Teal'C look old, or will they just say he dyed his hair and got a botox? lol

I think teal'c was the right choice, he didnt look any older really, lol. except the patch of white/gray hair

Someone mentioned this on the SGCSim forums, but did that grey in Teal'c's hair remind anyone else of the time that Data from The Next Generation's finale (irony for ya) put a grey streak in his hair?

whats the diffrence between a jaffa and a goauld? i never really saw every episode though anyway. but teal'c sounds like a good choice but i would rather have him young though.

a goa'uld links itself to the host, shares all there memories and knowledge

a jaffa, just carries a symbiote, but doesnt share anything

a jaffa is the host to a young goa´uld, but he is not controlled by it. if the symbiote gets older, he´ll change the host and will controll this next one i believe ... in both cases will the symbiote heal the host. and i both cases they share their memories (if any) and else, the thing is, if the goa´uld controlls the host or not ...

the reason why she couldn't have just done that is the time dilation feature was part of the Asgard Core. that means she could have activated it at any time (and quickly) to make a field around the odyssey. it would have taken time to adapt the technology to form a field around the ori ship and the beam, time that they didn't have.

i didn't think of that, but it is an option they could have taken. i guess they had to keep teal'c old because it's more dramatic and it plays into the fact that jaffa live way longer than humans.


anyways, who i would've chosen is...idk who...teal'c is good since he lives far longer than humans, but i wouldn't have complained if it was mitchell...he took the place my favorite character, which is why i didn't like him as much.

btw, if they put general landry in the time bubble with a note and the crystal, what do you think the crew would've done? and would he have stayed dead after the rewind and the landry in the command place (i can't remember it's name) still been alive? hm...
