couple of questions

just a couple of questions...
1) What does ppt and ss mean?
2) How much does the spy lvl upgrade cost increase per lvl?
3) How does the merc system work?

1.ss is supporter status and ppt is protected planets treaty both are explained in the FAQ above
2.each spy level costs double the last one but also effectivly doubles the effectiveness of each spy.
3.Mercs are useful attack mercs are near enough the same as your basic attack troops and defence mercs are very similar to your basic defence troops, untrained are fairly useless but can be used as an inefficient way to transfer naq to your officers if you do not have ss.

I got another question...

I trained 50 defensive NID teams and my home base guard went down 50 troops. So when i train defensive NID teams does those troops come from home base guard and for offensive NID, do those troops come from attack troops?

yes when you trained the 50 it was trained the trianed but they are better so dont worry
