in other words, no real purpose except more spam...

"Great holy armies shall be gathered and trained to fight all who embrace evil. In the name of the gods, Browsers shall be changed to carry the internet out amongst the peoples and we will spread Firefox to all the unbelievers. The power of the Firefox will be felt far and wide and the wicked users of IE shall be converted to use the true browsers."

We don't need to enable such a feature.

Re: Turn on the MP3 File upload
If Someone wants to post a file heres what you can do so you dont have to deal with making it a video for youtube.
Send me the file be it Msn or Gmail.
Ill take a listen to it. if i feel it is not inapporiate or breaking copyright laws ill post it on my site and give you a link to it.
Only requirements here then are
The file must follow the following:
MP3 96 or 128kbit / WAV file
512kb or smaller ( i can make exceptions in some cases)
No Copyright Infringement
No Breaking anyones Intellectual Rights
No Swearing / Profanity
No Degrading Someone
My Turn around time is about 4 hrs.
I am not an admin on this forum and if admins decide this is a bad idea this post will be removed
Also, One can track a music download under a few conditions.
1) Its got DRM. (Digital Rights Management)
-This Requires the song to link with a website and get a license information
2) Its downloaded from a site that actually keeps its logs.
- Apache Logs most of the time when done correctly allow you to see the day and time (down to the second) when something is downloaded. If then you get asked to track it you can track it to an ISP. and the ISP can narrow it down to the House / Address or Residence it resided. Following this if the internet was stolen thru some mialicous act it harder to follow because most home networks dont log this traffic.
I do not promote any of these acts im just stating the facts.

Did you ask admin of this forum if you can do this?

Re: Turn on the MP3 File upload
No i was not asked by admin. I never stated i was.
i am giving the people an option. if this is unfair or you feel it is wrong please tell me. its not circumventing rules just bandwidth usage. and it takes all possiblity of law suit from you. And if it really is bad u can just black list my site.
PS. If i get sent any copyrighted files, i track all ip's and headers there sent from so i am not liable.

What I asked was if you asked admin if you could do this, not if you were asked by admin. I don't think admin would ask anyone to do this (have a look at the question again).
I think you should ask first before you make claims of being able to do something you may not be allowed to do....I will be the first to sit on this/your efforts if you try to go ahead without asking...
ie. using this site/forum for questionably legal activities

I think he was trying to ask admin in that post but I do agree you probably should have asked in a pm.
