I sent my mothership out, and it returned with a planet with a significant covert bonus on it. Now the bonus remained the same for a period of about 5 turns (roughly, not 100% sure), and then I crashed for the night.
When I got up this morning I noticed that I had lost nearly 1/4 of the total bonus of the planet.
What I would like to know if possible, is if this is a natural part of the mothership claiming of the planet, or if it needs to be classed as a bug (hence why I have posted here first.)

Re: Question of planets
by you sent the mothership out do u mean planet finding or you actaully stole it? if u stole it then it should decrease by about 25% but that wont happen until u build something on it or the turn changes. im not sure about if you send it out because...i never found one.

Re: Question of planets
Was it the power level of the planet that fell or was it the power it added to your covert?

Re: Question of planets
The planets bonus went from 17bil down to 12.8bil.
Just remember this was a discovered planet not a stolen one.

I've seen the same thing many times, though I'm not sure what causes it, you're not alone.

Re: Question of planets
It could have been a delayed reaction to it being massed prior to it be dropped. It could also be that when you first received it the bonus was greater then the 1/2 allowed per planet based on your actual stat.
Not sure though but as Xeno stated it does happen frequently so you're not alone.

It's not a matter of luck; it's just a matter of time.

Yeah, being a covert planet it was well within the bonus allowable by my stats.I can't imagine that the carry over of it being massed would be such an effect.
However, perhaps I was thinking that some of these "particular" situations come about because it applies to any planet that arrives at your location. I have noticed it before, and will likely notice it again, so perhaps regardless of how you gain a planet (with the exception of market made) all planets that come into your realm suffer the damage to it's facilities.
