i know her well enough to realize that claims of her being a "nightwalker" in Real life, are unfounded, but roleplaying claims of her being one, are not, because she openly flaunts "sleeping around" with several members of the community as a roleplay joke, for their mutual amusement.

See and this is exactly where we obviously have different points of view and it is basically the whole issue. I think you (and many others) just refuse to look at the context things are being said in. If someone would call me a nightwalker in a spam thread where Lee and REK are arguing who the father of my baby is (btw guys, it's neither of you ), you sure as hell wouldn't see me complaining.

I think there is a huge difference between personal insults and sarcastic remarks on a role playing level. I've been told I am not the one to decide when something can be taken personal and when it can't. But where have I ever said I am the one to decide? I think it should be pretty obvious when you look at the context and use some common sense.

And as I have said many many times now, I really don't understand how someone could be personally offended when someone is making fun of their alliance name in a war thread. How can that even be classed a personal offense? Aren't war threads where the role playing part of the game really happens?

and if we suspend someone for not being able to tell the differance?
or for having the viewpoint that things from RL don't carry over to roleplaying?

thats the problem we ran into with Nuto. you suspended her, without caring if it was truly a personal insult, or merely a misconception. which is my point.
