And before u conquer the planet spy the person, from which u want to stole the planet. When u spy it look at planets defences and atributes So you won't get all your fleets destroyed only coz. u didn't spy him

you cant conquer your homeworld planet, have you noticed the Unconquerable bit next to it

you can also attempt many times to steal a planet in a day if you failed the first time, you can continue to attack it, destroying the defenses on it. Just note if your fleet action is less then 1/5 of their defense action, you will receive devastating damage and it costs more to repair. Also do note, you can attack multiple planets at a time, but once you conquer one, you are done attack planets for 24 hours.
