I haven't read through the 8 pages since I'm currently at work, so I don't know if this is covered...
If you're gonna add fleets of motherships, they should only pertain to alliances. The only way fleets come into play are through alliance wars. The only way you can add fleets to an alliance is if you have a mothership.

why not have each ship you buy have a certain amount of power like 1bill and the first ship you buy costs like 1 bill and each additional ship costs double and if you have like 5 ships you have 5 bill power and thats added to the MS stat but in a battle these ships can be destroyed like the fleets of ships that are on the Motherships now

or maybe it is like this:
-no offensive troops, just defensive
-defensive troops can be transported through gate and with fleets (more thr gate and a bit less through fleets)
-all troops that were attacking 3 hours ago or something like that cant defend your home planet.
-fleets have their own power just a lot smaller than the ''big'' mothership so troops inside are just for extra enhancement.
- 10,000 troops are required to fly ervery ship, 20,000 for big one

Id like to see you loose you main mother ship when you ascend and then you get a new one which is better. Also there should be different types of ships.

Ok I dunno if this was covered but I thought about this going on a trip to NC.
First off institute a Ship Up. Only rather then it being a daily up, its a weekly up, due to the fact that ships takes so long to build I think thats a fair idea. Only thing is each up would cost 10 billion naq, then from there it doubles. Though once the up is gained then it will also take time for the ship to be built. Yes this is going to make the richer able to build them faster but in all honesty they already have the large army size if your going to make them use the fleets to move men they will need to build more. There will be 5 different general types,
Scout (1 day, 1 uu)- used to scout other realms orbiting fleet strgth, ms power and such light armor, light weapons,
Orbital defense (1 day, 1 uu) -strictly defense for home system, also can be used for repelling scouts. heavy defense, heavy weapons no moving it.
Transports (3 days, 5 uu)-these are used to move the troops, they are heavily armored but light on weapons
Frigate (5 days. 10 uu)- heavily armed, light shielded.
Carrier (10 days, 20uu) - Fleets can be built on it, heavily shielded light weapons.
Then for each class you can also build upgrades like with current techs, only each tech would pertain to each ship, upgraded transport space, cloak, Ancient hyperdrive boost things like that, I can go into further detail just Im late for work right now.

Might a an idea to have you main mother ship which you build weapons and defenses on then have say 10 other mother ships assisting your main one.
For the sake of micromanagement I'd say the extra mother ships should have fixed capacities and not be upgradeable.

The only way to secure and defend a foundling planet is to spend trillons of NAQ to upgrade planet defenses.. Unfortunately, our current motherships do not defend the foundling planets even when they aren't out on a planet finding mission.
What if we allow players to own four motherships instead of just one? To make sure that the additional motherships won't be abused, their functions and limits have to be clearly defined.
The first mothership's functions will be similar to current mothership functions with the addition of one; namely, to protect a foundling planet in the same way that it protects your main world.
The additional three motherships will do nothing but add protection for three foundling planets each. These three motherships in guard duty may not attack other planets.
Weapons, shields and fleets will be similar to the current MS system.
The player may choose to rotate and reassign motherships to foundling planet duty on a weekly basis. For instance, MS1 can be placed into guard rotation and MS4 taken out for regular MS duties.
If a player chooses to use all motherships for an all out attack... that player must pay 3 MTs to be able to perform an all out attack. All four motherships may attack one single planet, 2 MS to a planet or one MS per planet. Additionally, an all out attack will render motherships un-useable for 1 week. Logic behind this is that they are busy trying to devastate planets.
I wrote this because of a discussion about planets being raided multiple times in a 24 hour period. Because you only have one MS, you can only take back one planet which seems not fair. I replied to that thread but decided to post this here also. I also posted this as a new topic but it got locked.
