It didn't offend people when I started, dunno what's happened. When someone said they were a god, it was in jest and fun, especially in the case of Goa'uld players.

In beginning most of palyers KNEW AND WATCHED STARGATE
Then game become "popular", and TONS of people who had not ANY idea of what stargate is joined...

And REK gets stuck with ladyboys.... ouch...


I for one will choose my own god ty very much... Well with so many dieties competition for worshipers is a cutthroat business... So what can you offer me for my worship? Mana form heaven (hold the anchovies)? Mercedez-Benz? I`m holding out for atleast eternal life (12 virgins optional but preferred)...

lmao that reminds me the crazy promise terrorists got given that they would meet 11,000 virgins in heaven after they did it, so see where giving stuff in exchange of worshipping can do, very very very bad things Not very suggested, only fake religions give stuff for real (not the promise in after life etc), but if you receive a car, money etc, the payback will be ALOT MORE expensive, if not VERY hurtfull!

If massing would be ok with RP omg I'd be massed already a couple of times and would have massed a copule of...hundreds time LOOOL

Indeed: I came across this game while browsing for stargate related stuff on the net.
Granted, Stargate and SG-A have gotten horrible in the last couple years... but yeah, it was nice when this was a whole star-gate culture.

For myself i totally agree with replijake. We all choose a race due to the characters of the sg1 serie.

The way we talk and the way we play reflect right the race we chosen for most of us. If SG1 Goaulds are arrogant and love to kill people, they will be the same in sgw.

The only thing i find sad, is the differences removing between races after ascension. An ascended Asgard must be powerfull in deffense, and same for other races. There is no change between a Ancient or a System Lord.

In other side, Goauld can be here what they are in SG1, but other races cant. Asgards got no more good defense, tauri no attack...

I always thought it would've been fun to have the races stay the same as normal, but indicate, as now, ascensions and increase the bonuses on each race with each ascension. I've often thought of reverting back to Goa'uld before deciding to quit entirely.

sorry for those who didnt look at sg1 or atlantis, but when u choose your race at first day, u see it :

These are a parasitic race born with the will to dominate.

So I try to get each race its original pros/cons

Redo the ascended races (sytem lord etc) giving them unique bonuses different to others and also different from the unascended races. e.g. give system lords a MS bonus due to their dominance in that field in the tv series. Same sort of thing for the others.

Also give some sort of bonus to alliances which are all one race, it would give them an identity and also if there is a race war between two enemy races in the series, say Tauri/Tollan vs System Lord/Goa'uld, both sides get some sort of bonus or they can't go on ppt or something else, just let it be something that gives a larger sense of a race war which is comparable to those found in the SG-1 series.

Possibly have some sort of alliance weapon which can be purchased by the group which can be used against the enemy. For instance an asguard fleet under the commander of Thor which does a percentage damage to enemy motherships, or a gate attack weapon similar to those which Anubis and Baal used which lock down a stargate. This would stop them from "gating out" and attacking/sabbing/reconing for a small period of time (day or so). Obviously there are going to be issues, but I reckon we can sort them out.

Possibly also award prizes to those who show an ability to role play well on forums, different from SL/Asgard/Ancient of the year. Rather it is "roleplayer of the year" (not sure whether this is in place at the moment, I'll have a look later and edit it if it is required. It's either not working or non existant). Prizes would involve ingame resources, not sure how much but that can also be haggled over. This would promote roleplaying, which would be overseen by admins and mods, and also hopefully bring new players to the forum. If roleplaying rules were added and they were well thought out and laid out, then I reckon we can solve this.

All in all these are things which I believe will bring back some fun to the game.
