The reletivity of covert
Well i was looking at my own covert today, and decided that covert in itself does not rank highly at all, Most people dont have more than a million spies, however my covert on its own is lowly ranked yet i could easily sabotage people in the top 100...The problem is the old Anti Covert being Realtive to the covert rankings, which i See as a problem, not only does it help in easily gaining rank, as its more powerful than covert, it also gives people an easy way of haveing power which cant be removed e.g. people would not train 10 million spies as they would be aced! So, I was thinking, this is a suggestion, but also a moan, So im putting it here for now, and seeing what the thread turns into, i was thinking haveing seperate ranks for covert and anti covert...That would mean that you could actually figure out how realtive your covert actually is to rank and so on, As apposed to haveing, what i would percieve as a n00bly way of getting a load of TP and rank, haveing uber AC trained,(As apposed to haveing a load of stats that can be removed, come on people its STARGATEWARS!) But as it happens more and more, the chain effect therein is that more people need to train AC to move up the ranks because there covert just doesnt cut it and ac is non removeable....So, anyone get what i mean...

Re: The reletivity of covert
I understand what your saying Buck and I agree I trained just ober two mil spies a week or so ago to see where it would rank compared to two mil AC and not even close. You would still have the same total power but covert would actually count towards your rank more than it does presently

Re: The reletivity of covert
I personally dont think anti covert should count towards rank because its so easy to get a few trill anti covert with no risk at all to loosing it

Re: The reletivity of covert
i dont really agree with them being seperately ranked tho,
all those poor n00bs wanting to ascend will then have to spend naq on 2 lvls rather than the 1 we all had to! so i guess its a bit unfair ........ but then again, there is a lot more naq floating around now than when most ppl here ascended!
so, i agree it needs some tweaking, but not seperate ranking

NO LONGER A TDL MEMBER - but i still like the sig

Re: The reletivity of covert
i fully support what you mean.
But perhaps you should go over it again and add some breaks, or paragraphs (how the heck do you write that)
Ac should either be a seperate rank or not count towards rank at all

Writing as a mod. But i am currently testing colors. So if you want to claim one as yours or its not the best to read give me a call please

Dont you think this belongs in the Discussion on Enhancements (ones already released) part of the forum.buck wrote:Well i was looking at my own covert today, and decided that covert in itself does not rank highly at all, Most people dont have more than a million spies, however my covert on its own is lowly ranked yet i could easily sabotage people in the top 100...The problem is the old Anti Covert being Realtive to the covert rankings, which i See as a problem, not only does it help in easily gaining rank, as its more powerful than covert, it also gives people an easy way of haveing power which cant be removed e.g. people would not train 10 million spies as they would be aced! Re: The reletivity of covert
i think they should lower anti covert to be the same lvls as covert. its kinda stupid how the same lvl with the same spys anti is better. tht just makes it easier to kill spys, they should have to work just as hard as the covert ppl to be able to kill covert.

Re: The reletivity of covert
I have to agree buck.
Maybe not seperate rankings, that would mean i would always have to have one, but perhaps they could have their own seperate rankings that dont effect the overall rankings, just so we can guage where our covert really is.

Re: The reletivity of covert
AC has been a sore issue for some time, it is the only stat that only can be damaged by the person who is being attacked by it & thats if they are on when be A C'd.
Players have been asking for ages for this to be addressed, but as of yet nothing has been done
Think about it,
if we could help defend alliance members/friends from being A C'd, just as we do when they are being massed, taking repair naq, sabbing, massing the massers, etc.

Re: The reletivity of covert
interesting idea buck... we support it...
but it should also be possible to have decent rank with 0 AC power... so, if possible, have it so that a AC power of 0, makes that go out of equation...
so the total rank from:
10 bill attack, 100 bill defense, 100 bill covert, 100 bill AC and 30 bill MS
is the same as
10 bill attack, 100 bill defense, 200 bill covert, 0 AC and 30 bill MS
10 bill attack, 100 bill defense, 0 covert, 200 bill AC and 30 bill MS
this would then have 5 ranks (Attack, defense, MS, Covert, AC), but if one of the two covert types are at 0, then it only calculates total rank as though there were four ranks, not five...
this might be hard to program though...
that way, you would be able to see exactly where your covert is ranked, and not just where covert+anticovert is ranked... and it would allow newbies to get good rank without having to build up both covert and AC...
