Why not? they dont have the more powerful weapons or the AB.
I mean I understand your point but after all we need something to intice people to actually play ascended. Most of the last serveral updates have done more damage then good.
I mean its kinna foolish that you can be smaller in size and weaker in military strength with a weaker ascended being and still be ranked higher then someone bigger and more powerful.
