Well I quit my account on the ascended server but I was able to go back on and see the cost of my next fleet upgrade. I put the info in your calc and it showed the right number, so I think it's alright! :wink:

This downloadable version of your calc is awesome! :D

However, as it is a beta, I'm sure that you would like to receive some suggestions on how to improve it. So here we go:

- Instead of having to click on the field to know what you must input in it, it would be nice if a small name was put before each blank spaces (Like initial UP, target UP, and Available naq for the UP part), and you can keep the longer descriptions in the opening boxes.
- Instead of writing NO COMMA at the end of every single description box that opens when you click on a blank space, why not puting it under the main box, so that we always see it as a warning for everything. Because you do not want commas inputed anywhere in the program anyway.
- Would it be possible to put commas in the answers? So that we can see at a glance if we need billions or trillions of naq instead of having to count every 3 numbers to see if we need 12 or 120 billion for example.

Other than that, it is an awesome program! Thanks for making that kind of ressource available to all players! :D

Goldor.

P.S.: I giggled when I read your Readme! :lol:

EDIT: Oh, and I just remarked the planet calculations are not available yet, is it going to be featured in a future version?

I love the "Bai bai" bit... :mrgreen:
It's priceless. You've got a nice sense of humour, mr. Agapooka, from what I can tell.

Goldor, those are reasonable suggestions. I'll add them in when school isn't nagging me to pay attention to it anymore. :-)

As for the planets, I'll have to make the forummas from the code Acolyte of Eternity gave me. He doesn't put it all in one formula, instead he had all these for {} or whatever statements. :P

Anywayzes, I thankses you alls for the feedback, suggestions and comments.

Danke!

Take your time! School is more important than that anyway, so we'll be able to wait! :wink:

Re: Now open-source TGW calculator

because this calculator predates planets.

You'll want to find a different calculator. Just ask around, there are quite a few out there that also do planets.

I know it's a very, very old thread but... Did you work some more on your calculator Agapooka?

I'd like to know if you did anything more with it! :-D

Re: Now open-source TGW calculator

Well... I'm gonna fix the ascended fleet cost, since the cost changed now that there are growth caps. Well, the costs only changed above those growth caps, so if you're under, you can still use it. 8)

I'm half way there. :p

$cost = ($startprice * $noupgrades) + ((($noupgrades ^ 2) + $noupgrades)/2) * 5000 ;

My only problem is i cant get this line to work properly in Excel (its a nice rough estimate, but i want better :p)

$cost4intLvl = (round($current / $size) * $base_inc) + $base_naq;
