okay. i didnt bother reading any of the previous stuff.
ive been playing this game since june of 05 i think it was. i was a sophmore in highschool. im now 21. and still playing
just when you thought the game admins couldnt kill the game any more then already achieved, they love to show us how much further you can sink your own boat.
i havent massed anyone since the updates came out.. and here is my impression.
WHO THE HELL IS TELLING YOU PEOPLE TO MAKE MASSING LONGER....
i just wasted over 1,000 turns on someone. and RAN OUT! what the hell????
i can see maybe 500-800 turns being used to mass someone. but over 1,000? this is **Filtered** ridiculous!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
now making sabbing more prevalent, good. it needed to be done. losses heavier in battle. kickass.
but make it take forever to mass a defense? what the hell is the point in ascending now??? when it takes forever to mass. whats the point in building a large strike... when u can too easily sabb it. whats the point in motherships??
i think if these updates on turns to 0 someone arnt scaled back a little. im going to be quiting. this is **Filtered**.

stuff of legends wrote:How is getting blessed an extra 1 in 25 times all that wonderful?
when you have to attack 200 times that amount to destroy a defence. Plus you have the AB on top of that from ascending.
I think houses are just screwed, either bonuses should be removed and used as empire shells for alliances or they just should be removed.
Attack 200 times, and get blessed another 8 times more than them?
Yes, you have AB on top of that. But if your both the same ascended level, and you assume you get blessed on the same hits, then it's only 8 more times over the space of 200 attack (almost 7 pages of attacks)

ive skimmed over this but about sabbing .... someone was sabbed so they covert phased in one day ... at rollover 00:00 still couldnt sab .... 24 hrs later can only sab 1 time a turn ..... this doesnt seem right

Reading over peoples comments, some have bought up some great points.
Only thing I would like to mention is bringing new people to this game. People start off with nothing and alot do not know how to play properly. This game dominates new players (Noobs) and therefore it is hard for them to build up. Some update to help new player stats by (x) percent would help for a certain number of days.
I can see this being abused by multi's, but ascending / getting SS to trade goods is hard for a new person if they raid / farm to get there.
EDIT: Re-reading my post I realised people will say "But there are lone wolf stat bonuses" Yes, but additional bonuses would help greatly. Throwing it out there (covers self to prepare for rants) Even make a persons be able to ascend in the top 3,000 ranks or so, just putting a random number up. But this would help draw more people to the game

If we have our hearts set on variable bonuses for the houses - especially if by population why not do it in such a way that encourages the littlier guys to get into the house. I don't like the idea of shifting bonus by population though and whatever change happens I think it needs to encourage more alliances into the houses so basing any boost on population within the house seems counter productive.
For example:
Covert house - the top covert level gets a 2% bonus, those with one level down get 3%, etc etc, up to X% maximum (say 10% maybe) so that the lower the level the greater the boost. And those at high ascended levels with a high covert level get a boost but not as much as someone else. AC house would be similar to this as well.
Faith and Science Houses - keep them as is, or give lower ascensions a higher chance. So a LG gets a 10% extra, while a Unknown gets 4%. Science perhaps 50% no blessing (like Jason suggested in a previous post.)
Time and Greed - Greed house - the biggest armies by population get 2% increase. those within say 50million of them get 3%, those within 100million get 4%, etc etc. So yes the smaller guys get a bigger boost but they need it more. Time, keep the same.
Attack and Defence Houses - just boost their bonus a bit to make them more attractive.
None of these would really benefit me but it would I think encourage some of the smaller alliances to get involved.

Sorry if this is seen as spam but here is some role play for Tekki's idea
"The interglactic council for Houses has not advanced to the further stages of technology and can only increases certain aspects of your ascended beings abilities"
I how ever think that covert and AC should not have the slldiing scale, else we will have an ascended stlyed thinking here. Untrain before reset and get max bonus. Then re-train after

Ah no, Jason what I was thinking more was say a lv 37 covert gets 2%, lv 36 gets 3%, lv 35 gets 4% etc etc, so that there would be no training and untraining. But a lesser boost, down to 2% based on your actual covert level.

would be good if an alliance were limited to 1 house change/month.
looks playing Lonewolf will be hell of a fun , thnx to Admin J many will leave alliance to play hard ball and some otehr will keep laming again how to remove them from game at all.
Disciples of Nephthys (Faith) 4 Percent Chance of Ascended Blessing Increased In Battle
Disciples of Thoth (Science) 50 Percent Negates All Ascended Blessings In Battle
faith looks ok
science shall stay as it was for those not wanting to ascend
Disciples of Osiris (Shadow) 10 Percent Increased Covert
Disciples of Khunsu (Light) 15 Percent Increased Anti-Covert
wit the reduce in AC power Light shall advance in bonus while Shadow which has its kill ratio doubled shouldnt be bounced, it shouldnt have kill ratio + House bonus , only one is suficient
Disciples of Ptah (Time) 20 Percent Increased Turn Generation and (generated) Turns Held
Disciples of Heset (Wealth) 10 Percent Increased Income
this looks good for those willing to trade/grow
Disciples of Sekhmet (Chaos) 5 Percent Increased Attack
Disciples of Ra (Order) 8 Percent Increased Defence
these two shall be balanced between 5-10% , nox is the key in the fight of these 2 houses

Would you have it calculate that every turn?
It could be exploited by someone ascending just after a turn finishes pump a load of naq to get level 32-34 covert and get a 10% bonus...
I personally think the house of science should definately be a 50% reduction on the chance of an ascended blessing.
if you have a 30% chance of ascended blessing > when you attack someone in science house you only get a 15% chance of ascended blessing.
I think this should extend further to those in science house getting a reduced chance of ascended blessing also - after all if you turn your back on your ascended being what makes you think it feels so inclined to help you...

Swop attack and defense values or lower nox. lol attack already has a disadvantage due to nox

@ Rook - yes it would have to be calculated every turn but there's already turn lag, a bit more won't be noticable and it's not like it has to be calculated for everyone in the game - just those in the houses.
