Great updates, Positive Steps being made, however...
i agree with some of the others in this thread, there shouldn't be any G+R gained whilst inside Perg.
The other thing I've literally just thought of is this, Forum has already said that there will be a 24 hour no attack limit, BUT
there should also be a 24 hour no-ppt (much like vac mode is) this will stop people coming out of perg, trading, then ppt'ing, then going straight back in and will make people more accountable for their actions. (no more people attacking officers or alliance mates and never receiving any comeuppance for it.)
Just my idea, I wonder if anyone else would agree with me on that one

Yes people could hit someone, then jump on PPT then 24hrs move to Perg. They could literally then get around the 24hr no attack.
So i also say 24hr No PPT before entering perg.

i voiced my concerns bout updates in teh admin meeting. however someone suggested a cap on Ascensions to get into perg i think that is just a bad idea..
But i wouldl ike to know
is it limited to 60ats on one player per day or 4 attacks.
is it limited to 60at/4attack from the point of the first attack is done or last attack or does it reset at 00:00 game time
but the whole to experience to get into perg based off ur acesions is stupid. nuff said

I seems to me like that perg will be even more used for those, who want to avoid 'real' gameplay... As people can't be massed down there at all. I don't see why this should go through...

Forum wrote:The goal of pergatory has always been to provide a 'slower style' of play for anyone wishing it, who is not too powerful to appreciate it

This has recently proven to be not the case, when others put their mind to it (congratulations to you).
So -- the following changes are proposed to bring back the initial function intended within pergatory:
1) Glory max per turn to 1, regardless of rank.
2) Slowing the growth of army size limit over time. It will not get lower than it is currently.
3) 24hour 'no attack' before being able to enter.
4) max of 4x15turn hits per day, per opponent.
It does not seem a huge update, but it should stop 'massing' within pergatory, by players or their mercenary hires, and allow any one player within pergatory to not expect insane amounts of activity against their accounts within a short time frame....which (see the top of this post) was the goal of pergatory.
Comments welcome. Final details not finalized. Goal of update: to allow perg to run a slower pace than main. Including massing.
1. Please explain why people are allowed to get G&R at all in purg? You have now made it where they can not be massed, and can build unlimited stats and claim the rank 1 of the game with no concern to losses since it would take half the "Purg" server to mass 1 account. Should be NO G&R period.
2. ok.
3. As noted above, poorly thought out and a half attempt. If you don't make it just like vacation mode, NO ATT for 24 hrs and NO PPT, then it will just be as abused as it is now.
4. Has got to be the worst update possible, so now massive stats are being protected. Now a "big boy" in purg can build the rank 1 Strike and hit every account in purg 4 times a day, and he can't be massed now. A "Snipers" paradise purg is now.
I really don't understand the thinking behind #4.

Number four has to go. You need to be able to mass down the huge accounts in there should you need to.
And would it bee too much to say that accounts in perg should lose all their ascended bonuses. This might encourage the big accounts in there to come out.

you put a cap on attacks from a player in perg and people will simply be massed by whole groups of people.
how long do you think it will take for someone to realize they can create a whole perg alliance for massing people and then merc their alliance out for that very purpose.
talk about death by 1 million paper cuts...this epitomizes it.

I agree with jenny ,
how can it be fare to limit attacks , the rest of it sounds ok but it really will make perg worste if you cant even fight , might as well call it SGF
star gate friends

GeneralChaos wrote:I also dont think that someone should beable to leave and join perg as many times as they want, there should be a limit of 5 max, then it makes you stay in main as you upset the galactic council,
Seeing as you should not beable to gain GnR in there it would not affect ascending.
Best idea out of the bunch!!!! this would put a stop to ppl leaving and selling then rejoining.

If anyone read teh Admin logs for the admin meeting you would see that i voiced my opinion that it would effectively make people like me in perg gods because of the shear fact we cannot be massed down...
However i do not like the idea of being a limit to the number of times being able to enter perg.
I agree with tealuc completely that its bs and its making perg a complete paradise for people like me...
cept for the fact i still cant be touched in perg.... i stay up 2 much

A limit to attacks?
Just get rid of perg then, please.
And thats comming from someone who loves it.

just a thought, mostly unrelated....
is it possible to create a PM sub-inbox where alliance peace declarations go to? im kind of getting sick of sorting through masses of ingame PMs........ others ive talked to also find it frustrating.

i figure the place is essentialy for the unaccended as they need to grow then become powerful.
-So they should be able to gain g@r but on the down side if u are accended u dont get any benifits like those around u.
-as for entry just put it back down to like 20miluu
-people dont stick around and chat in norm after they come as why would u want to gain some turns in which u cant take back with you

and after wasting 720 to get out it is just unnecessary
-and as for 60turn limit i dont really care your just gunna have to start sabing with a lot more spies.

So we are going to see ranks 1-10as all perg players as they cannot be massed.
Under rank 500 - auto remove from perg
Or
Rank 1000, you cannot set it to g n r range as its always changing.
But yea as its looking an update like this would benefit me big time, i could go to perg, have massive strike farm there 4 times a day, and not worry about being massed.

The NO massing rule is not going to work..
Build a huge defense.. no strike
All income planets
Go to Perg - come out to sell NAQ (while on PPT)
Then go back
-Repeat-
If you cannot be massed - then there is no fear in perg
